Episode Two: The Point of Absolute Zero

Azuma: "I'm sure you do."

Taiyo begins making her way up the stairs, stepping lightly. Instinctively she puts her hand on the railing, but pulls it back, shivering.

Taiyo: "I used to think living in an ice palace would be cool."

*Aroma follows, Lalamon clinging to her back. Aroma's head perks up.*

A"Oh! What about your socks?"

*Eve and the others head down their hallway*

Taiyo: "Err, right. That'd probably be a good idea."

From within the hallway, they hear and sometimes see the walls shifting, paths closing while new ones open. This is all on top of the multiple Digimon trapped within the walls, a look of terror frozen to their face.

Azuma: "This is grim."

*And so Aroma produces 2 pairs of socks; blue & red. Euryale takes the red & gives Aroma a one-armed hug, prompting her to blush.*

E"Thanks, Aroma. This is really awesome."

A"Oh...it was really nothing...you don't need to thank me...."

*Meanwhile, still hugging Aroma, Euryale balances on her left foot to put her right sock on.*

Kylie:<I wish we could help them.>

Lunamon:<They're long dead. I just hope we can deal with whatever frozen them.>

Taiyo takes the socks, thanking Aroma.

Taiyo: "Um..."

Renamon puts an arm around Taiyo to support her while she puts the socks on.

Another wall shifts blocking their path with the sight of a goddamn [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], forcing them to go left.

*Once she has her socks back on, Euryale heads back over to Taiyo, offering her arm. How Aroma manages to stay standing on her weak knees is unclear.*

*They go left, Eve taking the lead*

Taiyo takes Euryale's arm and gets her socks on. Once her sandals are back on, she doesn't let go of Euryale and they continue up the stairs and into the hall. They're also greeted by the same sights and sounds as the other group a blue [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] standing out next to a Vaccine Agumon.

Taiyo shudders and holds tightly on to Euryale.

Biyomon gets an eyeful of another Biyomon and a pair of Yokomon trapped within the walls.

A wall shifts, seperating Azuma & Hitomi from the rest of the group.

Azuma: "What, damn it!"

Patamon: "Should've held hands and other appendages."

Azuma: "Not now, Patamon."

They follow the newly opened path.

*Biyomon is very sad. Eve yells as loudly as she can*

<Azuma, Hitomi, are you alright?>

Cameron:<Hey Biyomon, what's the matter?>

*Biyomon points to the frozen digimon*

Cameron:<Oh. I'm sorry.>

Hibiki is following with BlkAgumon as always.

*Euryale puts her hand on Taiyo's. Meanwhile, Aroma keeps creeping closer & closer to Renamon, looking around at the sights with wide eyes.*

Renamon glances about at the gallery surrounding them, not noticibly disturbed. She notices Aroma creeping up on her.

A wall shifts and Hibiki & BlackAgumon are seperated from the group while the others come to a large, wide open room. From the doorway on the other side a pair of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] hop then slide out, followed by a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] creature.

The group of three enters a room similar to that of the above group, although presently there doesn't appear to be anything hostile.

The paths Azuma & Hitomi follow begin to become darker, whatever light that had been coming from the lanters on the wall started becoming fewer and fewer until they were in total darkness,Azuma's lighter barely able to keep a light around them.

Salamon: "Anyone else hear that?"

Azuma: "The dripping?"

Salamon: "Dripping? No, there's something up ahead."

Terriermon:<I hope they'll be alright.>

Eve:<I do hope so. However, whoever lives here seems to want to get ride of "Hope" and "Light".

*They continue on*

*Aroma stares at Renamon kind of awkwardly, but with eyes as wide as saucers.*

"Um...can I hold your hand?"

This is all interupted by the Gizamon spraying water at them while the Cyclonemon opens its mouth, gathering energy.

Renamon springs into action, jumping over the group to attack the two Rookie Digimon with Diamond Storm.

Their progress is halted when a pair of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] bastards and everyone's favorite Digimon, Hyogamon enter the room.

Azuma: "Can you see wha-"

Salamon: "Shut up."

Salamon jumps out of Hitomi's arms and yelps when something attacks her. They hear the sound of claws scraping against the ice, a shadow passing over the light from Azuma's flame.

???: "Hope...dies...last."

Patamon fires a Boom Bubble at where the voice came from.

*Aroma screams & presses herself against the wall. Lalamon blasts a seed into Cyclonemon's mouth. Guilmon blasts one of the Gizamon & Dorumon fires a shot at Cyclonemon's head. Meanwhile, Roatha heads over to Aroma & Euryale maneuvers Taiyo so that Taiyo is standing behind her.*

*Lunamon Tear Shots one of the Snowgoblinmon, while Biyomon uses Spiral Twister on the other. Eve takes out her digivice, and Terriermon tries to digivolve*

The Gizamon are all very annoyed by the attacks and slide back a bit on the ice. Cyclonemon, not so much and fires off a Hyper Heat at Euryale and Taiyo.

Renamon jumps in front of the two, arms up to shield herself while shielding the two with her body. Taiyo's Digivice glows and Renamon Digivolves as the attack hits, forcing Kyubimon who digs her claws into the ice so the force of the attack doesn't push her into Euryale and Taiyo.

The Gizamon curl up into a ball and begin begin rolling towards Guilmon and Dorumon like saw blades.

All very successful until the Hyogamon slides forward and punches Gargomon in the face. The SnowGoburimon each spit an icicle at the two Rookies.

The scraping stops and the area is silent until Hitomi screams and the scraping resumes. Salamon attacks with a Puppy Howling, the attacker grunting when it makes contact.

Azuma feels something breeze past his arm and he sees a tear in his jacket.

???: "Extinguish...The...Light..."

The attacker grunts again as the two Digimon's attacks make contact with it, but it still remains invisible to them in the darkness.

*Gargomon grits his teeth and fires Gargo Laser at the Hyogamon's head. The two rookies get out of the way, then attack again*

*They stand their ground, continuing to blast the Gizamon.*

E"Are you alright?!"

*Meanwhile, Lalamon flushes a strange kind of dark green color that might be blush & begins humming the basic lullaby song, gradually floating up to Cyclonemon so that it can hear better. Aroma also blushes.*

Kyubimon: "...Fine."

Taiyo looks over Euryale's shoulder to see Kyubimon run out towards Cyclonemon.

Cyclonemon looks at Lalamon like "What is this bullshit?" and stretches an arm out, grabbing Kyubimon, swinging her into Lalamon.

One Gizamon cuts through Guilmon's attack and rams him while the other biffs, metal being hard to cut through with oneself.

Hyogamon growls, a big burn on its face and strikes Gargomon with its club.

The SnowGoburimon slide towards the others, closing the gap between them and exhale a chilling gust of air. Ice begims to encase the two Rookies starting from the floor up.

Salamon yelps again, sliding back.

They feel a dark presence looming over them, a clawed foot visible in the small circle of light. Whatever is in front of them sounds like it's breathing through some kind of mask.

*Guilmon tries to stab his with his claws. Dorumon attacks his again. Aroma runs & catches Lalamon when she falls off of the wall. Aroma's eyes tear up.*

L<I'm sorry...I couldn't do...anything....>

"You don't have to fight for me, & you don't have to win. Just...please don't get hurt anymore...."

*Gragomon tries to dodge the club then uses Bunny pummel. Biyomon uses Double Fire to break the ice, then he and Lunamon attack the same SnowGblinmon*
