Episode Two: The Point of Absolute Zero

Gargomon:<Way to be picky.>

Biyomon:<I wonder what I'll be.>

Lekismon:<A bigger bird?>

G<What is that?>

R"I don't know, kill it."

E"Roatha!"

R"What? Everything here tries to kill us. Just for once, I'd like to get the jump on something."

???: "Burning bright!"

A wave of fire comes roaring from the steam and data cloud in their direction.

Taiyo: "Will these Digimon have a chance at being reborn?"

Renamon: "Presumably if they're released from the ice. I've never heard of something like this, so I can only guess."

They enter the same hall Azuma & Hitomi had from a different end, that path closing up behind them. They see the ice sculpture from the side, but can't quite tell what it is until viewing it from the front.

Azuma enters the room when Taiyo screams.

*Eve and Kylie follow Azuma*

Kylie:<What is-?>

*Kylie also screams and falls to her knees*

*Growlmon counters with his own blast of flame. Aroma screams & chokes Roatha again.*

This only worsens their visibility, but at least they're not crispy critters. Growlmon gets a burning knuckle samdwhich to the jaw.

Taiyo: "Wh-what happened to him?"

Azuma: "Something lurking around got him. Let's get back away from this sight."

Renamon leads Taiyo to the hallway Azuma had left, Azuma following.

E"Stop beating up my Digimon! And show yourself, coward!"

*Meanwhile, Guilmon tries to throw a punch or at least a claw jab back, & Dorugamon lands, flapping his wings to try to dispel the gasses.*

*Eve helps Kylie up and the two follow Azuma and Taiyo*

Lekismon:<What happened?>

Kylie:<Hibiki's....dead.>

Growlmon burns himself on whatever he hit. With the gasses dispelled they see their [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Meramon: "Burning...up!"

A wall of fire erupts from Meramon, heading towards the group.

Azuma: "Wasn't he with your group?"

Taiyo: "I guess nobody noticed he got seperated..."

*Growlmon & Dorugamon counter with their own fire & a big ol' cannon ball, respectively. Lalamon starts singing.*

*Lekismon picks up Kylie, who is still sniffling*

Eve:<That is unfortunate.>

Meramon laughs at Growlmon's flames, taking them into its own body then lets out an "Oomph" as Dorugamon's attack strikes it.

Meramon comes barreling at Growlmon and hugs him for lack of a better term. But unlike most hugs, it hurts a lot.

Renamon: "How was his body contorted in such a manner?"

Azuma: "Don't know. Don't think even the best contortionists can do that. Must be some kind of nonsense to explain why."

Lekismon:<From now on, we really must use the buddy system.>

*Growlmon tries to shake Meramon off somehow, while the others hang on for dear life, until it looks safe to slide off of his back. Lalamon's leaves & eyehole things droop.*

L<I don't know why I even bother, I can't do anything to these monsters. I'm so useless.>

A"Don't say that. You're always right there to protect me, & I think your singing's really pretty."

*Aroma grabs Lalamon off of her back & holds her like a teddy bear. A teddy bear that probably feels like a ball of dry semi-dry leaves.*

Meramon laughs at Lalamon's plight, its grip tightening on Growlmon.

As if their feelings mean something, Aroma's Digivice vibrates and glows, the word Digivolution scrolling across the screen.

Taiyo: "I lost my human buddy."

*Lalamon wriggles loose from Aroma & flies into the air, twirling around. As it does so, it grows larger & into some fucked up flower with a face. Aroma follows the transformation, craning her neck to look on with awe.*

<Lalamon, Digivolve to...SUNFLOWMON!>

E"...What--" R"--The fuck...?"

A"I think she's cool."

<SUNSHINE BEAM!>

*Sunflowmon fires a fucking blast of concentrated light from its head, trying to peel Meramon off of Growlmon with it. You'd better get used to seeing that attack a lot. A whole lot.*

Biyomon:<You'll find her again, don't worry.>

Cameron:<I don't think anything could take down Euryale.>

Meramon lets go to shield its face as that shit is probably really bright. Growlmon gets to smell his own burnt flesh.

Taiyo: "She is pretty strong, isn't she?"

<SUNSHINE BEAM!>

*Growlmon doesn't like it, & starts firing wrist plasma blasts at Meramon. Dorugamon attacks with yet another cannon ball.*

<SUNSHINE BEAM!>

A"Doesn't that attack just make you want to smile?"

*That she does. And they do not.*

R"Actually..." E"...It's kind of...."

<SUNSHINE BEAM!>

*Cameron nods*

<Yup. I'm sure she'll be fine.>

By some dark miracle (really I'm just getting annoyed), Meramon's flames are extinguished leaving behind only data.

Azuma looks at his Digivice, both maps producing only static.

Azuma: "Well that sucks."

<SUNSHINE BEA--oh, he's gone already.>

E"Go for it, Growlmon."

*Growlmon absorbs the data.*

Eve:<When we head up there, you and Hitomi should stay to the back of the party. "Hope" and "Light" are obviously the main targets.>

The wounds are healed, but the real damage has been done. That smell will be with him for awhile.

Azuma: "Whatever attacked us said 'Hope dies last', so assuming that's me, I should be at the front of the group."

Salamon: "That's stupid. One thing talking nonsense doesn't make it official."

*They continue on.*
