Episode Two: The Point of Absolute Zero

*Lekismon snarls and uses MoonNight Kick to throw Hyogamon into the air. Biyomon uses Double Fire on Hyogamon's feet, while Gargomon uses Gargo Laser again*

Growlmon's gonna need a Digichiropractor by the time they reach the end. Or when he walks into a wall as the path they're on is blocked off by a shifting wall, the narrowness of the path making turning difficult.

Taiyo: "We can probably walk on our own."

With their powers combined, they also don't become Captain Planet, but Hyogamon is defeated.

*Lekismon and Gargomon revert*

Kylie:<You were amazing!>

Lunamon:<Yeah!>

Eve:<We better keep moving.>

*They do that*

G<Yeah...but maybe I can break through the wall.>

Taiyo: "I don't think you should try. You don't want to be hurt if we get attacked again."

They eventually come to the hallway, Azuma, Hitomi, and their partners are in.

Azuma: "Well Group A is back together."

G<What about my fire breath?>

D<And my cannonballs. If we attack together, then we might be able to do it.>

Renamon stands in the middle of the way to the newly opened path.

Renamon: "And exhaust yourselves trying to open a path that there's no guarantee won't shift again."

They hear the sound of a path closing behind them and another opens up turning the hall they're in into a T-junction, Renamon standing on the right side.

R"And if we keep following where the walls tell us to go, who knows how many traps we'll wander into. We could at least try it."

E"Gotta say, he has a point. I hate being told what to do."

Taiyo climbs off of Growlmon and joins Renamon.

Renamon: "And forcing open a path will somehow make any difference in whether or not we're attacked or fall into any traps?"

The path across from Renamon closes up, Taiyo cowers behind Renamon when the wall that replaced the path holds a Tyrannomon.

Elsewhere in the dome, a path opens up, a cloud of steam and free floating data escapes into the air.

???: "Burning..."

E"Well, yeah. We're forging our own path. Not being led into one."

*She shrugs.*

E"I don't know, I guess it depends on whether these shifts are random or planned."

Eve:<Glad you guys are alright. Shall we continue on?>

Taiyo: "Can we decide already? I don't want to hang around here much longer."

Azuma: "Figured we'd wait for the others. This seems to be the end of the road with this place's lord up a flight of stairs just ahead."

Eve:<I suppose.>

Kylie:<Did ether of you get digivolutions?>

D<Well, if we're going to try it, we all need to go at once. On 3. 1...2....>

*He & Growlmon start charging up their attacks, aiming for a wall. They look at Kyubimon, to see if she's going along with it. Lalamon, bless her stupid little heart, has bulging cheeks from the nuts she's generating in her mouth.*

Renamon does no such thing. Their attacks miss the wall they're aiming at opens up while the path Renamon and Taiyo are on closes up.

Taiyo: "We...we got seperated!"

Renamon: "Please calm down, Taiyo. You have nothing to be afraid of. I will protect you."

Azuma: "Puppykins did."

Salamon: "Salamon!"

Lunamon:<Awesome! So did I.>

Cameron:<Hopefully we'll have enough power to take whoever's running this place.>

E"Taiyo! Damn it, this is all my fault!"

R"Why? You weren't the one standing at the end of the chaotically shifting hallway like a damn moron."

*Euryale turns around to glare at Roatha, who shrugs. Aroma hides behind him.*

R"Just sayin'."

E"Well, stop sayin'!"

And now they're bickering in the middle of a chaotically shifting hallway like a damn moron.

Renamon: "We should move."

Taiyo: "But what if the path opens again?"

Renamon: "We can't be certain when that will be or what else is lurking in the halls. We will all be one soon enough."

Taiyo: "I guess..."

Taiyo looks over her shoulder at the wall with a frozen Coronamon & Betamon in it before following Renamon, taking her hand.

Azuma: "Won't know until we try."

Eve:<That's very true.>

*Terriemron and Lunamon digivolve in preparation*

R"Go on, say it. You know you want to."

*Euryale sighs.*

E"We could try blasting a hole in the wall, but we couldn't guarantee that they aren't standing on the other side, & wouldn't get hit."

R"So we just move on?"

E"The path might open up again. I'd like to wait, at least for a few minutes."

The door to the room Guilmon and Dorumon became big mon's opens up while a path elsewhere in the dome closes up.

Renamon: "What's wrong?"

Taiyo had stopped and stares at a pair of Digimon in the walls. A BlackAgumon & BlackGabumon. She shakes her head and keeps going.

Taiyo: "Nothing. I just felt something weird when I saw those two."

Renamon: "The boy who was seperated from the group had a BlackAgumon."

Taiyo: "Yeah, but this was different."

Azuma: "You become bigger rabbits. And Puppykins becomes a cat."

Salamon: "Salamon!"

Azuma holds Patamon in front of his face.

Azuma: "What do you become, a valkyrie?"

Patamon: "How should I know? For all I know, I could become a flying horse."

A"Um...I don't think it's going to happen again."

E"Don't be such a downer!"

R"Why do you say that?"

*Aroma flinches.*

A"Um...well...whenever we see a door open, we usually see another door close. I think that they randomly shift, in pairs. So...it's not very probable that that specific path will open up again any time soon."

E"That's...actually pretty good logic...."

R"Say it...."

*Euryale sighs.*

E"Sorry I snapped at you."

A"It's...okay...."

*Aroma smiles as they go a way that isn't the way that they just came.*

Gargomon:<A giant hamster of death?>

Their vision is clouded and journey is made uncomfortable by a cloud of steam and free floating data.

???: "Burning...burning..."

Taiyo: "What part of the Digital World do you come from?"

Renamon: "Like all Digimon, I was born in the Village of Beginnings."

Taiyo: "That's like a big nursery, right?"

Renamon: "Yes. It is where life begins and where life begins anew for some."

Taiyo: "Some?"

Renamon: "I had heard tales that after death the data of those who have passed judgment is sent back to the Village where they will be reborn."

Taiyo: "That's pretty interesting. It just seemed like data flew away or was absorbed."

Renamon: "The absorbing of a fallen Digimon's data results in that Digimon's permanent death. I absorbed Cyclonemon's data to renew my strength while others may do so to augment their own."

Taiyo: "So you killed that Digimon forever? It won't be reborn?"

Renamon: "It may not have been reborn regardless. I do not know what happens to the data of Digimon that does not return to the Village."
