Episode Two: The Point of Absolute Zero

Eve:<Alright, then Hitomi at least should be in the back.>

As they traverse the halls, a Palmon's eyes follow them, knowing it is unlikely it'll be freed from its prison until death's cold embrace takes it.

The paths begin to shift less and less until stopping entirely and they begin to hear voices that aren't like the one's in their heads.

Azuma: "I was kidding. And staying at the back does little as we don't know what's ahead. It could teleport for all we know."

Eve:<I suppose.>

*Kylie' s calming down*

R"I think I hear the others."

L<I'll try to lead them to us.>

*Sunflowmon takes aim down a random path, flying up so her head is very near the ceiling.*

R"Please don't."

L<SUNSHINE BEAM!>

Azuma: "What the hell is that?"

Taiyo runs towards Euryale, loses her footing and slides the rest of the way towards her.

*Eve and others follow*

Gargomon:<Oh good, you're all fine!>

*Euryale kicks off her flip flops so she can have traction & runs to meet Taiyo. When she gets close enough, she purposefully drops, skidding along her knees, & scoops her up in a hug.*

E"I'm so glad to see you again!"

R"...Didn't that hurt?"

L<See, I told you it's useful.>

Taiyo hugs Euryale.

Taiyo: "I don't want to be in this place anymore."

Azuma: "Well the gang's...mostly back together and we're at the end of the line."

E"It's okay. I have a hunch that we're about to meet whoever's behind all of this. So all we have to do is hit him until he stops doing things."

*Still hugging Taiyo, Euryale stands & makes her way back to put her flip flops back on.*

Eve:<We might as well face whoever's causing this now.>

*Eve and Gargomon start heading to the stairs&*

Taiyo follows Euryale against her will, trapped in a hug. Not too bad of a predicament.

Eve & Gargomon get an eyeful of Hibiki's corpse as expected. As do Azuma, Hitomi, and their partners.

Azuma: "Yeesh."

*Everyone else follows along, Eve trying to avert her eyes*

"Alright, let's go."

*They all head for the stairs.*

Aroma, Euryale, Roatha, and their partners get their first look at Hibiki's remains, Taiyo averting her eyes, by staring at Euryale.

The climb up the spiral staircase is longer than one may have thought. At the top is a very wide open room with higher ceilings than that of the larger rooms they had battled in, larged icicles hanging down from them.

At the end of the room is a throne with what appears to be an entirely white angel sitting in it.

IceDevimon: "Greetings, Chosen Children."

Eve:<Greeting yourself. WHo do we have the honor of addressing?>

*They actually didn't see anything because they weren't even paying attention.*

E"Blast him."

*So Growlmon does just that, launching a torrent of flame at him.*

E"That was a warning shot. Tell me why I shouldn't do more."

IceDevimon fires a beam from its eyes, intercepting the flames. It stands up and takes flight.

Renamon & Salamon Digivolve, standing in front of their partners.

Azuma: "That's no angel."

IceDevimon: "Not in a manner you'd know, Child of Hope."

IceDevimon spreads its wings, icicles then fall from the ceiling, towards the cast.

*lekismon takes Kylie and Cameron to safety, while Gargomon takes Eve. Gargomon then uses Gargo Laser on IceDevimon, while Lekismon uses Tear Arrow, and Biyomon uses Spiral Twister*

*Aroma yelps & grabs on to Taiyurle. The Digimon counter with their own attacks, Sunflowmon shouting, "SUNSHINE BEAM!"*

"You know, I was kind of hoping you'd give me a reason to attack you. Is that wrong?"

*She tilts her head a bit as she asks the question.*

Kyubimon destroys the icicles coming towards Taiyo and co with Fox Tail Inferno while Azuma, Hitomi, and their partners fall back.

A large icicle bursts from the stairwell sealing it off.

IceDevimon flies higher to avoid the attacks and flies fires another eye beam, aiming for Biyomon and dragging it across to Gargomon and Lekismon.

*Growlmon angles a plasma blade so that it arcs into IceDevimon like a boomerang. Dorumon & Sunflowmon try to fly higher than IceDevimon, Sunflowmon firing a SUNSHINE BEAM at him when he stands there shooting eye lasers like a wanker.*

*Gargomon and Lekismon counter with Gargo Laser and Tear Arrow respectively, while Biyomon uses Double Fire*

They can't fly much higher due to the icicles hanging from the ceiling, but they manage to knock IceDevimon close to the ground. It retaliates by charging Sunflowmon and slashing her with its claws.

As the three made no effort to dodge the attack, it connects and they begin to freeze over, rapidly.

Kyubimon runs out to position herself so she can fire off a volley of fireballs at IceDevimon who's too close to Sunflowmon to attack without her being affected by it as well.

*Sunflowmon attacks with a Sunshine Beam. Dorumon flies up to cut off its escape route from the 2 attacks, & Growlmon takes up position below.*

*Bullshit, but whatever. Gargomon tries to break the ice with Bunny Pummel, while Lekismon kicks at the ice with MoonNight Kick. Biyomon uses Double Fire on the ice*
