Old Ones Return (III)

*It keeps trying to slither away, the bindings eventually groaning as they stretch.*

E"Maybe some Digimon just can't talk? It looks pretty feral, to me."

*She looks up, towards the altar.*

E"What's that blue glow?"

Azuma: "Looks about right. Kinda hoping it was just upset."

Azuma disengages the bindings.

*Kylie and Lunamon go to check out the alter*

*Now free, it doesn't seem to know whether to attack or flee, so it does both, pelting them with hail from the wake of its wings as it makes its escape, & lashing at Kylie with its tail as it flies past. Euryale steps in front of Taiyo & raises her arms to protect her face with her snazzy new armor. If not impeded, the Quetzalmon keeps flying for one of the entryways.*

*Kylie dives to the ground, Lunamon jumping to protect her. However, they do not attack or pursue*

Azuma drops, dragging Hitomi down with him.

Azuma: "That could've gone better. You doing all right?"

Hitomi: "Yes."

E"Is everyone alright?"

*Once the Quetzalmon is gone, that just leaves the glowing feather emitting sparks on the altar.*

Azuma: "I've had better days."

Taiyo: "Yeah. Are you okay?"

Cameron:<We're fine.>

*Lunamon and Kylie head up to inspect the feather*

Kylie:<This must be what we're looking for.>

E"Yeah, this armor's amazing."

*There is a slight warmth coming from it.*

Lunamon:<Touch it.>

Kylie:<It could be booby trapped.>

Lunamon:<Fine.>

*Lunamon touches the feather, then jumps back*

Taiyo looks over Euryale's shoulder at the hokey magic feather.

Taiyo: "A feather?"

*Nothing happens. The feather is secured well enough that it will have to be pulled out.*

E"Well, it's glowing, that's kind of impressive. Any of you Digi-types wanna fill us in, here?"

Lunamon:<I have no idea.>

Biyomon:<Same.>

*Lunamon tugs on it*

Patamon: "Maybe it's magical."

*The feather is tugged out of its holder easily. Once it is, several giant boulders begin falling around the altar, each nearly 9 feet in diameter.*

E"Look out!"

Azuma: "Time to jet."

Azuma, Hitomi, and their partners run back to the hallway.

Taiyo hops on Kyubimon, expecting Euryale to follow.

*Kylie and Lunamon run back towards the others, Lunamon digivolving and grabbing Kylie. Cameron and Biyomon follow them out*

*Turns out the boulders are set up to roll down the hallways. As presumably everyone headed out the way they got into the room, Azuma & Hitomi are now being chased by 1, & Euryale, Taiyo, Kylie, & Cameron by another. The boulders pick up speed as they move, to the point where those flying are having a difficult time keeping clear of them, & those not are on the verge of being crushed.*

*Biyomon digivolves and grabs Cameron, while Kylie slashes Hyper Wing. Lekismon then uses Tear Arrow on the boulder, while Saberdramon uses Night roar on it*

Patamon Digivolves and Angemon picks the two humans and Salamon up.

Hitomi passes Azuma a Hi-Speed Plug In card which he swipes while Taiyo gives Kyubimon wings and she takes flight.

*The attacks do nothing. Fortunately, the boulder eventually falls into that 50 foot depression, while they keep going, because they're flying.*

*In this way, they are able to outrun the boulder, & it eventually gets stuck on a doorway.*

Angemon lands, putting them down.

Azuma: "Seperated again. Let's make our way out, hopefully we'll all regroup there."

And so they set off heading for the exit.

Kyubimon lands and continues walking. Taiyo sighs and leans back against Euryale, groaning about falling into metal.

Taiyo: "That was scary."

*They head towards the exit*

OOC: "Groaning about falling into metal." What?

*They eventually meet up outside of the pyramid, whereupon the Digital Gate opens.*
