*LadyDevimon puts her arm over the back of the bench & looks back. Euryale looks back at her.*

D<You worried there might be side effects?>

E"How could I NOT be?"

D<Hey, I hear ya. Pullin' out souls isn't as simple as sawing a woman in half...the magic trick.>

E"Oh, right."

D<But what about your own freaky problems?>

E"Huh?"

D<You mean to tell me you don't remember Agumon turning into SkullGreymon & you acting out his attacks?>

E"...Vaguely."

D<And he passed out when he turned back. You nearly did the same.>

*LD points at her.*

*So she turns into the park, running over the curb & tearing up the grass, with Hypnos vans & unmarked cars hot on her tail. She stops the vehicle & she & Gomamon slam the lever until the door opens.*

Cameron:<The same thing happened to Biyomon, but not me.>

*The Hypnos agents pursue them on foot, but before they get in range to do anything, the sextet pass through a foggy tunnel, & back into the underwater valley. Leomon closes the doorway, & turns to them.*

Leomon<You've finally made it. Good.>

G<Aren't you worried about them coming through?>

Leomon<Since we now have the power to stay Digivolved, they no longer have the power to destroy so many Digimon so easily. For now, we are safe.>

T"That's interesting. I wonder what the difference is."

*Euryale opens her mouth to say something, but just then, all of the windows on the train are shattered by a loud scream. Everyone places their hands to their ears & looks out the window. A Mummymon in human disguise rides alongside the train with a Hipogriffomon, carrying its Obelisk. Seizing upon the distraction, it fires a blast of white energy into LadyDevimon's chest. She falls back, breaking a bench. As Thiera gets up to run after her, she points at the other side of the train.*

T"Look out!"

*Sure enough, a human-disguised Arukenimon & a Jijimon jump into the train compartment with them. The Hipogriffomon fly up & land on the roof. Of course, since Thiera's not paying attention, she winds up wrapped from neck to ankles in Snake Bandages, & falls flat on her face.*

E"That's enough!"

*Euryale stands & grabs her D-Power, but before she can do anything with it, Arukenimon spits out a glob of web that covers it & her hand, hardening fast until they're both trapped in a cocoon of sorts. Jijimon then smashes the now-helpless Agumon upside the head with his staff, knocking him into a wall & knocking him out. Enraged, Euryale roundhouses him in the face. He rolls & stumbles, slightly dazed.*

*Both Lunamon digivolves to Crescemon and starts firing arrows at Arukenimon. Biyomon digivolves to Karatenmon, picks up Cameron, and then jumps out of the compartment. Once there they biomerge to Ornismon who claws at the Hippogriffinmon*

Taiyo Biomerges with Renamon. Sakuyamon jabbing at Arukenimon with their staff.

The other two Digivolve, MagnaAngemon swinging at Jijimon with Excalibur while Angewomon leaves the cabin to fire arrows at Hippogriffmon.

*Jijimon takes a nasty wound & promptly dissolves into data. Arukenimon contorts & cartwheels away from the arrows, which blow walls into splinters.*

<OOOOOOOOOOOOOW!>

*The train car lurches & stops moving. Through the window, they can see the front of the train keep moving without them. The Hipogriffomon detach from the top of the car, opening their wings to be swept back away from their aggressors. Mummymon fires the Obelisk at Angewomon & Ornismon.*

Leomon<We join MadLeomon. He's fighting with an army near an old castle. He thinks that the destined Tamers are nearby.>

*Ornismon dodges and fires his eye lasers at Mummymon, then at the Hipogriffomon. Crescemon jumps forward and slashes at Arukenimon*

Angewomon evades while MagnaAngemon flies out to attack Hippogriffmon with Soul Banisher.

Sakuyamon conjures up fox spirits to pursue Arukenimon.

*LadyDevimon gets up, quite mad, & tries to slap Arukenimon. The disguised Digimon grabs her hand & twists her in front of Crescemon's attack. Then she dashes towards the bound Thiera, covering her mouth with web & hoisting her up into a fireman carry. LadyDevimon blasts her in the face with eye lasers, shattering her glasses & blowing them off of her face to reveal a pair of red eyes. Nonetheless, Arukenimon makes an impressive backwards leap onto a waiting Hippogriffomon & takes off. LadyDevimon screeches like some kind of weird bat-woman & follows her.*

Mummymon<Looks like this stick up's over, for now.>

*Mummymon throws out some Snake Bandages to get burned by Ornismon's attack, & a 2nd pair to snatch up Agumon & Euryale. Though she tries to tear them apart, she is unsuccessful. Once he has them snatched up, he heads out to follow Arukenimon. Before she can be completely tied up, Euryale punches Mummymon in the face & falls onto the desert floor in the struggle. The other Hippogriffomon meets MagnaAngemon's attack with a blast of heat.*

"So how do we get there?"

*Leomon fires a Fist of the Beast King up into the water. After a few seconds, Whamon's face breaks the surface like some terrifying World-Killing God Whale, sending another mist of rain down onto the valley. It then opens its mouth wide, sticking its tongue out to them like a ramp.*

"...No."

Leomon<It is perfectly safe. Whamon will not swallow you, & his mouth can hold several hours' worth of air, when split among a moderate group.>

Lyra:<Yeah, ok, no.>

*Ornismon chases Mummymon, trying to grab him. Kylie slashes Aero wing, and Crescemon takes off to join LadyDevimon*

Angewomon fires an arrow at the Hippogriffmon carrying Arukenimon while MagnaAngemon fires another Soul Banisher at the other Hippogriffmon.

Sakuyamon pursues Mummymon's Hippogriffmon.

*Tsune sighs angrily & feeds herself to a whale.*

*As the 2 groups keep chasing their respective mark, they grow more distant from each other while passing into a field of haphazardly placed black spires, with a black dome vaguely visible in the distance. Even though Crescemon & LadyDevimon are lagging behind Arukenimon by several dozen meters, she does something that they can only make out by a hand gesture, causing the towers she passes by to contort & be consumed by the Light of Digivolution, ultimately emerging as a series of Okuwamon. LadyDevimon sweeps across them with her eye lasers, burning thin gashes into their shells, & almost makes it past before being grabbed by the throat & smashed onto the ground.*

Mummymon<Sit down & shut up while Etemon's playing!>

*The side of the trailer eventually opens to reveal a big orange monkey playing guitar with gazimon on drums, keyboard, & saxophone. Mummymon squeals like a little girl & falls off of the Hipogriffomon.*

Etemon<Look at that audience! Alright, I'll play a love serenade for each one of you, starting with that cutie in the front row!>

*He points to Sakuyamon.*

*Ornismon doesn't waste any time and fires his eye lasers at the van to blow it up*

*Etemon twangs the guitar & the eye lasers seem to bounce right off of the sound.*

Etemon<And this one's a little number I like to call, "Bye-Bye, Digimon, Bye-Bye!">

*He twangs the guitar again, & suddenly the Digimon are all overcome with a dizziness as they regress to Rookie & separate back into 2 as necessary. Etemon & his goons are unaffected.*

Etemon<And now for something a little different...a short death metal solo!>

*He points to apparently thin air. The joke makes itself known as the shadows twist & Phantomon appears. The grim reaper pulls aside its cloak to reveal Euryale, bound in the chain of its weapon, a black cloth over her mouth, & looking quite mad. Etemon turns back to the "crowd" & adjusts his sunglasses.*

Etemon<I never leave any of my fans behind, Baby.>

*LadyDevimon lets loose the combined fury of a Darkness Wave & eye lasers. The team manages to shred through the Okuwamon easily enough, but soon find themselves regressed back to Rookie, for mostly no reason. They've long since lost sight of Arukenimon.*

*As they're trying to ride the whale, which sounds disturbing, said whale has a huge shake & everyone lurches forward, which also sounds disturbing. Leomon stands up.*

Leomon<Whamon, what is the matter?>

Whamon<METALSEADRAMON-ON-on....>

Leomon<Not good...how many minions does he have?>

Whamon<ABOUT A DOZEN-A DOZEN-ozen....>

Leomon<We should only be halfway to the surface. That's not enough to take on Baihumon, so they must have come to ambush you.>

*He turns to the Tamers.*

Lyra:<So what do we do about it?>

*Etemon shakes his hips, does a spin, & then thrusts his fist out, firing a dark sphere that destroys the spear & lays Renamon's ass right out. Euryale makes some noise under the gag.*

Etemon<I don't like being upstaged, there, Little Missy. This is just a preview. All my fans will be at my concert. Bandages will show you the way. And now Etemon has left the building!>

*The door closes over Etemon's band & the van begins to drive off. Meanwhile, Mummymon points his gun at them.*

Mummymon<Since you're clearly city folks, I'll explain how things work 'round these parts: You give me your valuables, so I can give them to the King. Then I march you over to his concert hall so that you can be his loyal fans & enjoy his music for the rest of your lives.>

Leomon<Whamon won't make it to the surface, at this rate. He has to turn & fight, while you go on ahead to the data stream.>

Everyone continues on their way.

*They pass a dozen spires, but still can't quite make out what the dome is. By this point, DemiDevimon's claws skim through the sand & she pants as she flaps frantically to maintain altitude. If they look to their right, they'll see a bizarre monkey-faced trailer a few yards away, driving in the same direction that they're going.*

*Whamon shakes again.*

*So Whamon does, slowly at first, so that water rushes in over their ankles. Tsune holds her breath & does as instructed.*

As DemiDevimon is likely to kill over, Azuma picks her up much to both of their displeasure.
