*Ornismon shrieks and fires Cosmic Ray and at Dokunemon*

Lyra:<I just thought that once we met up with them we'd be able to actually get something done, since they were supposed to be so strong.>

*Knightmon blocks with his sword and slashes again. Kylie grabs Lunamon and takes cover*

Sakuyamon waves their staff, a sphere of fire engulfing MetalEtemon.

*WaruMonzaemon steps back. Pulling MadLeomon off of itself, it rips off his chainsaw arm & destroys it with a ball of electricity fired from its hand before releasing another stream of purple hearts that fly everywhere.*

Ts"Well, what do you expect? We are fighting an evil army."

T"Actually, this isn't the army. Only that man with the Italian accent & any Digimon that he brought were affiliated with them. He had some kind of alliance with Etemon & his cronies, but they were already here."

*When the flames clear to reveal WarGreymon, it charges through the flame sphere with a Great Tornado, catching MetalEtemon in the chest & slamming him into the ground. Once he's down, the Digimon aims another claw attack for the new hole in his chest, but MetalEtemon catches it with his tail, kicks WarGreymon in the side, & sends it flying into Sakuyamon. He claps his hands, the clanging noise drowned out by a blast of dark lightning coming at the duo from above. WarGreymon grabs DemiDevimon with a claw & the Brave Shield from its back with the other & holds the bat Digimon close under the shield.*

*The 3 Dokugumon that he didn't shoot turn arch their backs, firing webs at Ornismon. They also spit out a stream of poisonous gas. Meanwhile, up above, Angewomon reverts to Gatomon. This loosens her bindings somewhat, but the web still has a habit of sticking fast to her wherever she touches it. Arukenimon advances on her, opening her mouth wide & emitting a slight hissing noise.*

Cyberdramon charges WaruMonzaemon with a Desolation Claw.

Sakuyamon one ups WarGreymon's puny attempts and protecting DemiDevimin by striking their staff on the ground, erecting a barrier around the trio.

MagnaAngemon takes a swing at MetalEtemon with Excalibur.

Gatomon tries to cut througb the web with her claws, firing a Cat Laser at the ugly spider thing.

*Knightmon tries to protect the humans from the hearts before using Aero Wing on WaruMonzaemon*

Lyra:<I don't know.>

*Ornismon uses Tempest to blow back both the gas and the Dokunemon*

*After being struck by the heart, Knightmon, Cyberdramon, & MagnaAngemon feel too depressed to raise their weapons to attack, & are promptly knocked on their respective asses. WarGreymon, DemiDevimon, & Sakuyamon are protected by the lattermost's barrier. WarGreymon turns to look back at her.*

<"Thank you. I haven't been giving you enough credit for your strength.">

*MetalEtemon had taken the opportunity to start stomping on MagnaAngemon's face when he notices that DemiDevimon has slipped away & is now standing slightly to the right of where he's stomping., her eyes filled by concentric hypnotism rings. As she talks, small flames of darkness flicker out of her mouth & MagnaAngemon can feel his depression turning to fury.*

D<Why are you lying there like a lump? WaruMonzaemon will have no power over you if you think only of killing MetalEtemon.>

Etemon<What are you doing here? Get lost.>

*He tries to kick her in the face, but strikes only empty air as Thiera swipes an Alias card. DemiDevimon flies towards where Marumonzaemon has turned its attention to firing lasers into MadLeomon until he goes limp in the beast's claw.*

*It's slow going trying to cut through the web. Arukenimon recoils after being struck by a laser & rubs her eyes furiously. The Kodukugumons' eyes flash & they leap at Gatomon. On the ground, the Dokugumon weather the tempest, shooting webs to prevent their own poisons from reaching them.*

*Ornismon swipes Cosmic Ray across the group on Dokunemon*

*Knightmon falls to the group, clutching his sword. Lyra runs over and grabs his hand*

<Knightmon, what's wrong?>

MagnaAngemon stands and stabs at MetalEtemon's chest.

Hideki: "Cyberdramon, what are you doing? Where is your ferocity?"

Sakuyamon: "Thank you."

Gatomon continues trying to claw her way out, firing lasers at the approaching monsters.

*The cracks expand & there is now a hole in MetalEtemon's chest. He covers it with his left hand & steps back, trying to hook the angel's leg with his tail & flip him over. At Tsune's direction, Gomamon flies around him, firing Burning Fists at his chest area. WarGreymon nods & then leaps away, Great Tornado'ing into WaruMonzaemon's shoulder until he drops MadLeomon. He then slashes at the Digimon a few times with her flaming claws, trying to push him back. Stopping to hold the claws in front of her & block the hearts, WaruMonzaemon hits him with its claw & fires a laser at him while she's down.*

D<WaruMonzaemon's hearts attack breaks the enemy's spirit. But it can be countered with hypnosis.>

*With that, she hops on Knightmon's sword, staring at him similar to how she looked at MagnaAngemon.*

D<WaruMonzaemon is the worthless one. You must delete it, & think of nothing else until you do.>

*When Gatomon gets free, all that's left is Arukenimon. The breaking of the web destabilizes her, causing her to fall to the ground. She scrambles back to her feet. Looking around, she immediately tries to scuttle off to an exit. KoDokugumon can be seen peeking out of her abdomen.*

*Ornismon hurries and fires Cosmic Ray at her*

*Knightmon stares at DemiDevimon, then nods and stands up. He then flies over MetalEtemon to try and stab him in his chest hole*

MagnaAngemon takes flight and dives, stabbing at MetalEtemon.

Azuma: "What happened to him? He's gone beserk."

Sakuyamon jumps high into the air and comes down up WaruMonzaemon with a kick.

Gatomon falls back to where Hitomi is.

*DemiDevimon doesn't answer, being busy hovering in front of Cyberdramon's face.*

D<Fight back, damn it!>

*Meanwhile, MetalEtemon does his best to swat them away, staggering back with the cracks now spreading over his chest.*

T"Judging from our prior experience, one more solid strike should cave his chest in & compromise his structural integrity entirely!"

Etemon<Shut up!>

*Etemon waves a hand & a bolt of dark lightning strikes down towards her. As she screams, Gomamon flies up to take the blast, degenerating back into Bukamon. Tsune also screams & immediately descends on him to heal him. Meanwhile, MetalEtemon gestures with both hands at his attackers, calling down more bolts of dark lightning on them.*

MadLeomon<Am...am I still...alive...?>

*As he begins to stir, WaruMonzaemon wisely moves aside to avoid the kick. WarGreymon stands up, her armor barely even dirty.*

<"Thank you. Let's finish this together!">

*And so she begins floating, flames gathering in her claws in a spherical shape, quickly expanding to double her size & still growing. WaruMonzaemon sprays more dark hearts at them.*

*Arukenimon screeches as she is deleted, her discarded data soaking into the yards & yards of webbing.*

*Knightmon moves to avoid the lightning and the heart before attempting to stab MetalEtemon in the chest. Lyra runs over to Tsune*

<Is he alright?>

*Ornismon roars in triumph*

<We need to join the others. Do you need a ride?>

Cyberdramon growls at the bat and stands up, darting towards WaruMonzaemon.

Sakuyamon shields themself from the attacks while MagnaAngemon blasts MetalEtemon with Soul Banisher.

Gatomon: "They're just down the hall."

And so Gatomon and Hitomi head down the hall.

*Ornismon remembers that he can't fly.*

Bukamon<I'll be...fine....>

*Partly because this is dragging on too long, MetalEtemon's chest slowly falls apart, resulting in his top half toppling off of his body. In mid-fall, bot halves begin dissolving into data. WarGreymon holds the Terra Force out in front of her to block the hearts, then dives forward, slamming it into WaruMonzaemon directly, MadLeomon wisely scrambling out of the way. She calmly walks out of the resulting inferno like some kind of cliche.*

*So Ornismon dedigivolves, and Cameron and Biyomon follow after Hitomi*

*Knightmon lands near Lyra and co*

Lunamon:<Is...it over?>

The Digimon revert, looking exhausted and a little disappointed.

Hideki: "Yeah."

OOC: Their effects will be added to the sing-up topic.

*On their way out, Biyomon spies a card of Mummymon, & Gatomon one of Arukenimon.*

*Tsune picks up Bukamon & continues the healing as he falls asleep, Euryale & Agumon having reverted to their separate forms.*

E"I think so, too...what's wrong?"

*She turns to the upset-looking Digimon as Thiera takes a few steps before fishing a card out of the sand.*

T"It's a Digi-Modification card of Phantomon."

*DemiDevimon flies over to where MetalEtemon was slain, while MadLeomon knuckle-walks over to where WaruMonzaemon met his end.*

D<Metal Etemon.>

ML<Monzaemon & WaruMonzaemon. Etemon's Dark Network must've trapped their data. The price he paid for power.>

D<Do you think that Reapermon left one behind?>

ML<Maybe.>

And so Hitomi picks up the card.

Azuma: "Reapermon?"

*Biyomon goes to pick up the card*

*MadLeomon wordlessly passes it over.*

ML<I ripped his throat out. They merely purged him of his stolen data.>

D<Personally, I don't really see the difference.>

*Euryale strides forward, waving down the conversation.*

E"Okay, enough. If we're going to be on the same side, then we can't just go around doing whatever we want individually. We need to get organized. We can't do anything about that old guy, because he's dead. What we need to do is rest & eat, particularly the Digimon, & plan our next move. We also need to distribute these cards fairly."

ML<I can search for that card, if you want.>

E"You might as well. I already want you to find the Gekomon so that they can help reclaim & protect their home."

Lyra:<Thanks.>

Lunamon:<So, like, who are you people anyway?>

*Assuming Cameron and Biyomon get out at some point*

Hideki: "Tamers."

Azuma: "And the lot of you can already get your partners to Ultimate?"

Hideki: "Yes."

*MadLeomon starts loping off.*

T"We haven't been properly introduced. My name is Thiera, her name is Euryale, that is Azuma--"

*She gestures even as some assholes start talking over her.*

Ts"I haven't used the card yet."

T"...Those 2 who just showed up are Hitomi & Cameron...."

*Euryale starts patting herself down, looking frantic.*

E"The Blue Card! I must have dropped it when I was kidnapped!"

T"...And Taiyo is...."

*Thiera finally gives up, putting her arms down to her side & standing off in the corner where she belongs.*

Hideki: "A DigiGnome brought it to us. Could be more than one."
