*Mimiru eventually collapses entirely, becoming too weak to move much at all, & is having difficulty maintaining consciousness. Her wound does not bleed, but it sure hurts. The monster then jumps on Cameron, hacking away at him with its claws, its eyes swiveling around in its head, reflecting Cameron, the lights, the sinks, Euryale's body, & Mimiru's body in rapid succession, even faster than its frantic clicking. It gets right up in Cameron's face, & he can smell the heavy iron scent on its breath as it opens its mandibles wide, revealing a structure like a dagger surrounded by threads of spongy red flesh. The flesh within its mouth convulses as it positions the proboscis in his face & fires.*

L"I don't know. Do whatever you want, I guess."

*So she crosses the street.*

Grimm furrowed his brow and waited a little longer.

Astarte, who didn't like it when the professor and that other one went their own way, stayed behind Thiera looking like she was trying to shrink into her own clothes.

*Cameron tries to throw it off and hit it with her shoe at the same time*

*Eve looks back at the others then follows Lilith*

*Cameron manages to slightly deflect its head so that the proboscis only cuts into his scalp instead of spearing him through the face. He really should watch that. The monster still isn't the least bit concerned & digs in with its claws so that Cameron can't push it off. It is, however, slightly distracted from sucking up the blood around Cameron's wound.*

*As before, there is a window that's boarded up. Lilith tries the door, but it's locked. She then starts heading around to the back.*

L"Do you have a hair clip, or something?"

Eve:<Will a paper clip do?>

*She follows*

*Cameron hits it in the back of its head with his fist*

Grimm angrily put the phone down and went back to Sidon's room to find his cell phone. Stefan hovered nervously in the kitchen.

Mimiru's passing out. She's probably cursing Cameron under her breath.

Taiyo stayed with those not going to some skeezy church that is skeezy.

L"Probably, yeah."

T"...The Shadow has abducted a lot of people. Lilith seems to think that it might have even targeted some of our parents. If they're not in there--will we ever be able to find them?"

*It blinks & sucks in its proboscis, but soon its eyes open again & it glares at Cameron, opening its mandibles.*

Stefan stared at the Shadow, while Grimm sat down in the living room and leaned his forehead on his fists, thinking.

*Eve passes her a jumbo paper clip*

*Cameron hits it there again*

In the event they're not in the church, Taiyo tries calling Euryale.

"Hi, this is Euryale! Ah--ah--ahhhhhCHOO! Well--that was embarrassing. I'll try this again later. For now, just leave a message after the tone. Great, thank you! Bye!"

*Lilith untwists it & tries to unlock the door with it.*

L"I guess it was naive to think it would be this easy...unless...."

*She digs out her phone & looks up instructions.*

L"Do you have another paperclip?"

OOC: Actually, according to her inventory, she shouldn't have even had the first.

*It grabs his arm when he tries & launches its proboscis right into his face.*

*The lights go out & Stefan feels a burning pain in his chest as he's also thrown against the refrigerator.*

*The lights in the bedroom are fine, but Grimm hears the noise of something large being thrown or dropped.*

OOC: Should of said something before. Anyway, since she had other school supplies, I didn't think of it as a big deal.

*Eve shakes her head*

*Cameron starts screaming for help again while trying to shake it off*

She tries calling Mimiru and then Azuma.

Taiyo: "No one's answering...."

Astarte shifted uncomfortably.

Grimm started walking to the kitchen and called out, "What's going on?"

Stefan yelped and tried scrambling out of the kitchen.

L"Damn. Guess we'll have to go back for now. I lost the paper clip anyway."

*The Shadow is briefly visible in the kitchen as the lights flicker, but is gone when they come back on.*

*It scrapes another gash in Cameron's head, but the monster tightens its grip around his arms, so he probably won't be as lucky next time.*

T"That can't be good."

Grimm lifted Stefan up to his feet by the collar and shoved him towards the front door before edging into the kitchen with the intent of fetching a knife and the pistol from the bench top.

Eve:<Alright, let's go.>

*Starts heading back*

*Cameron tries to wiggle an arm free while trying to slam the bastard into the wall*

*It jabs the proboscis into his neck, with the searing pain not only of being stabbed, but also suggesting that a vertebra has been cracked. The sensation is made worse by the rapid spread of cold & stiffness, as though he's being frozen solid starting from the neck, & he eventually falls limp, gasping for air. The last thing he sees before losing consciousness is the monster grabbing Mimiru & Euryale by their nearest outstretched arms & dragging them into one of the stalls, for some reason.*

*As 1 door is closed, another opens, with Tirea & Azuma awakening in hospital beds, fully decked out with breathing masks, IVs, heart monitors, & bandages everywhere.*

*As Eve & Lilith are crossing the street, so to do Dr. Schreiber & Vanessa approach from behind. Senthose turns around.*

S"And where were you?"

V"Up on the hill watching to make sure nothing jumped out when they opened the door, Mr. Paranoid."

S"Then why didn't you tell us what was happening?"

Dr. Schreiber<If they had been gone for more than 5 minutes, then I would have. And I don't think they'd want me to tell you here & now anyway, since they were doing something they weren't supposed to be.>

*He looks at Lilith who shrugs & grins sheepishly.*

Azuma promptly freaks out asking where he is, what's going on and overall looking like a crazy person.

Assuming he got a hold of what he was going for, Grimm turned and got out of the kitchen as quickly as possible while stuffing his new toys inside of his cassock, "We're leaving."
Stefan stepped out of the front door.

Tirea:<Nurse?! Someone?!>

*Dr. Schreiber digs the paper out of her pocket & looks at it.*

Dr. Schreiber<They are around here somewhere. We'll just have to keep looking. Perhaps someone has seen them come through.>

*So Lilith turns & walks to some of the people on the street corner.*

L"Excuse me, has anyone seen a big, rather busty dark-skinned redhead come through here? There should have been some others with her, but she probably would have stuck out the most."

*Everyone shakes their heads &/or mutters something like "Afraid not" or "No, sorry."*

Grimm shoved Stefan aside and delivered a thunderous kick to the door.
