Dual World Daybreak

*He finds a way to make a thumbs up.*

Cap'n<There's no power struggle, for whatever that's worth.>

Ts"What does that mean?"

Cap'n<Well, seeing as Bagramon was apparently going to try to turn us all into friendship zombies & Myotismon was Myotismon, I guess we can't complain too much, but anyone who establishes dominance over the Digital Underworld is someone to be feared.>

*Meanwhile, other Mermaimon are lowering a ramp for them to embark.*

*Everyone prepares to disembark, except for Cameron and Biyomon, the later still hanging near Agumon*

*Tsune shrugs at that comment, but looks concerned as she & Gomamon join the others. Agumon & Thiera also walk towards the ramp, the latter turning back.*

Th"Are the rest of you coming?"

*Euryale relaxes a bit, whispering into Taiyo's ear.*

E"We should probably go."

Taiyo: "Right."

Presumably one of them takes the lead when it comes to disembarking.

Unsure of where it's better to be, the two disembark. Would've been better to stay home, but being polite has its downsides.

*Cameron nods, stoney faced. He and Biyomon follow the others*

Kylie:<Thanks for the ride!>

*As they walk along the Phlegethon, they are followed by the glowing eyes & gnashing grins of Vilemon in the bushes, but they seem too cowardly to start any real trouble. Eventually, the river begins to thin & flows underneath a crumbling plateau, topped with fallen walls & broken towers.*

E"Is this Myotismon's Castle? What happened to the place?"

Woman's voice<Our mistress, the mighty Mastamon, cooled the lava moat & we've been using it as a quarry ever since.>

*If they look over, they'll see a half-naked woman dressed in armor with what appears to be a huge, electrified spiked club slung over her shoulder. Behind her is an absolutely enormous metal construct with a skull motif & horns coming off of its head & shoulders. Tsune checks her D-Power.*

Ts"Ginkakumon & Kinkakumon...it says they're siblings."

Kinkakumon<So our reputation precedes us. And clearly you're some o' those humans that consider yourselves "Tamers," but who gave you permission to enter lands?>

*As she sneers at them, she hefts the club off of her back & runs her fingers along it.*

Kylie:<We're friends of Mastemon.>

Azuma: "We violate the NAP or something?"

OOC: Because the Digital World can't be portrayed any worse than if it were to become "An"Capistan.

OOC: You are not one to talk about the portrayal of the Digital World.

Kinkakumon<A likely story.>

*She hefts her club, pointing it into Azuma's face.*

Kinkakumon<That one's new, though. What are you talking about?>

*Ginkakumon leans down to whisper in his sister's ear.*

Ginkakumon<(Actually, Sis, I think I do remember seeing them after Huanglongmon was beaten.)>

Kinkakumon<(No foolin'? You really think these are the Digidestined?)>

Lunamon:<Hey, she's telling the truth!>

Biyomon:<We really aren't looking for any trouble.>

Lyra:<...We helped Mastamon take over the Dark Area after Bagramon and the others were defeated.>

Azuma: "How many other people would willingly come here?"

*Kinkakumon tosses her club recklessly into the air, where fortunately Ginkakumon catches it before it falls on anyone. She then covers her mouth, giggling & turning away as she playfully shoves Azuma, apparently oblivious to the fact that she just sent him toppling end over end for over 2 dozen feet. Euryale, Tsune, Thiera, & applicable partners look appropriately shocked, then take a collective step back from her.*

Kinkakumon<Heehee! You're funny, I like you!>

*Suddenly, Ginkakumon's massive face looms over Azuma.*

Ginkakumon<Don't get any ideas. I'll be watching.>

Ts"So--uh--is Regulumon nearby?"

*Kinkakumon jerks her thumb to the castle's ruins.*

Kinkakumon<In there with Plutomon, hunting spooky ghosties.>

Patamon, hanging on to Azuma is none too thrilled at the being tossed around with his partner while Hitomi goes to help pick Azuma up.

Azuma: "You watch all you want. Just not this close."

Kylie:<Uh...thanks?>

*Presumbly they head over to the ruins*

Ginkakumon<Don't think you can get rid of me. I will protect my Big Sis!>

Kinkakumon<Help him up to the castle, Lil' Bro. We can talk more when he gets back.>

*She clasps her hands together at her waist & rocks to & fro, still blushing like a schoolgirl. Ginkakumon grabs Azuma, hoists him up, & roughly sets him down at the top of the stairs that the rest of the Digidestined are climbing.*

E"Looks like Kinkakumon's taken a fancy to you. Heh, didn't know you were such a smooth operator...you alright?"

*Whatever he answers, broken walls, battlements, & staircases loom up all around them, casting dark shadows as they frame a gaping chasm leading further down. There may be whispering coming from it, or it might just be the wind. Gomamon & Agumon move closer to their respective partners as Tsune & Thiera shiver.*

Azuma: "Sore. Nothing good can come from this."

*Cameron moves closer to Thiera, Biyomon beside him. Kylie picks up Lunamon, also shivering. Lyra and Kotemon both seemed unfazed*

*Euryale stands him up, massaging his shoulders in the process.*

E"That feel better? C'mon, there can't be anything in there that's worse than what we've already faced, could there?"

Th"Besides, ghosts do not exist. If there is anything in there, it must be some type of Digimon."

*Euryale rolls her eyes when Thiera can't see her. Agumon shrugs & heads on in, Gomamon hopping along behind him as he stammers that he's n-n-not afraid! Tsune seems torn.*

Azuma: "Sure..."

He noticeably tenses up as the whole thing is just damn weird. Like has she been taking prozac when no one's looking?

Patamon: "We're gonna watch Regulumon and Plutomon bust some ghosts?"

Lyra:<I don't know, who says Digital Ghosts can't exist? We hang around with Digital Monsters.>

*Euryale frowns & backs off.*

Th"That is what I said, real ghosts do not exist."

E"Well, the only way to find out is to see for ourselves. Plus, we shouldn't let Agu & Gomu go in there alone."

*So she enters, followed by Tsune. The sound of whispering becomes clearer, or perhaps changes, to the sound of a young girl crying & some adults yelling incoherently. She clicks on her D-Power's light & searches around until she finds Agumon, curiously poking around the halls with Gomamon cowering behind him.*

Azuma: "This is like something out of a Scooby-Doo cartoon."

*Lyra crosses her arms, looking bored*

Kylie:<Plutomon...Regulumon?>

*Tsune crosses her arms, shivering a bit.*

Ts"What Scooby Doo cartoons have you been watching?"

A<Hey, there's a girl in here!>

*When those 2 nimrods dart into a side hall, Euryale takes off after them. Those who follow will see that there is indeed a small girl, visible mainly by her long red hair due to her dark clothes, skin, & the fact that she's covering her eyes. She sits amidst a bunch of bottles while the shouting continues in the background, looking up with blotchy red eyes as Agumon approaches.*

???<You're a cute little animal. Are you my new pet?>

*As she asks this, she strokes the dinosaur's cheek, but her hand suddenly becomes a set of long, golden claws as her expression grows crazed & hungry.*

???<I can't wait for us to play! What should it be? Surgeon? Hunter? Butcher?>

*Gomamon gets over his shock long enough to spit fishes, at which point the figure shrieks & explodes into blood red data that seeps into the cracks in the floor. The bottles & the shouting disappear as the girl does.*

Th"Wh--what in this world was that?"

E"It looked like a ghost to me.... What?"

*She adds the last part after Thiera shoots her a stern look. Agumon falls on his tail, looking shaken.*

Azuma: "That is an unexpected turn of events."
