*Kylie waves to Persiamon*

Kylie:<Sorry, we thought we'd come surprise you all. I hope that's alright!>

While Taiyo would totally want to play with Persiamon, she has to put aside her own desires to comfort Euryale.

Azuma: "They need a history lesson."

E"Go--go on. I want you to have a--a fun time."

*Persiamon turns her back on them & starts licking her claws because she is a cat. IceLeomon eventually looks up & smiles a horribly fang-filled grin.*

Ice<I didn't see you at first! What brings you here?>

G<We wanted to travel the Digital World to celebrate the anniversary of defeating Kurata. See old places, see old faces.>

A<But so far it hasn't gone quite like we'd hoped.>

*He looks to Thiera & Euryale.*

Ice<I see. Why don't you tell me where you went before you came to see me?>

Taiyo: "Not if it means you're going to be by yourself."

Lunamon:<We went to see Plutomon!>

*Ice Leomon looks confused.*

A<We went to the Chaos Area to see Regulumon...but then we saw the phantoms & now we sort of regret it....>

Ice<Oh! I see. Yes, the past can hurt. I believe that is why Regulumon would rather beat it down than accept that we cannot change what was lost.>

*He clasps his hands behind his back & turns to observe the Chessmon, who fall in line once they see him looking. One of the Black Pawnchessmon flips up its visor. Betsumon grins at Cameron.*

Ice<There is no shame in remembering, so long as we are not blinded to those who need us in the present.>

*Thiera takes a look at her D-Power before pocketing it. She turns to Persiamon, clicking her tongue & saying the Digimon's name in a higher pitch. She turns to watch the human suspiciously, before standing up to slowly saunter over. On th way, she passes Euryale, who looks up.*

E"I want to thank you--for helping to rescue Taiyo last year."

*The large feline cocks her head & blinks down at them in confusion.*

Baste<What's a Taiyo? Is it food? Or a bed?>

*Meanwhile, Tsune scratches the back of her head & awkwardly approaches IceLeomon, who looks back at her.*

Ts"I guess I should thank you too--for looking after my parents."

Ice<Think nothing of it.>

Taiyo: "I'm Taiyo."

*Cameron grabs Thiera's shoulder, furiously pointing at Betsumon*

Cameron:<Thiera, look, look! Do you see something off about that PawnChessmon?!>

Th"Which one?"

*By the time she looks, Betsumon has closed his visor. Meanwhile, Bastemon is staring at Taiyo, mesmerized & swaying slightly. She slowly reaches out...& yanks on her left pigtail.*

*Cameron marches over to the one he thinks is Betsumon, then points at it*

Cameron:<I know you're not a real PawnChessmon! Open up your visor again!>

Taiyo shrieks and pulls her hair back.

Taiyo: "Bad kitty."

Ts"Well what did you expect from a giant cat?"

*Bastemon's hair sticks up slightly as she hisses at Taiyo. Euryale massages her rapidly building headache.*

E"Girls, girls, there's no need to fight."

*Meanwhile, the Pawnchessmon all rub their heads in confusion, but pull open their visors. All of them have identical blank dark faces with glowing yellow eyes.*

Th"Are you feeling alright?"

Ice<Please don't provoke the Pawnchessmon!>

Taiyo hisses back while Renamon steps up beside Taiyo in the event a face is in need of punching.

Tsune's probably cruising for a bruising too.

Cameron:<But...but I saw...>

*He turns to look at Thiera*

Cameron:<It's nothing. I just thought I saw something. Sorry guys.>

*His last comment is addressed to the Pawnchessmon*

*One of the Pawnchessmon winks at him. Thiera stares at him skeptically. Agumon waddles up.*

A<So do we have to join your army to get armor like that, or...?>

*Meanwhile, Bastemon crosses her arms & haughtily turns her back on the girls, snootily sticking her nose in the air. She irritably wags her tails in Taiyo's & Renamon's faces. Euryale puts a hand on the backs of the fox & her girlfriend, massaging them.*

E"Easy...we're all friends here, right? I'm sure we can put this all behind us...."

Ts"Hey, at least she didn't claw your faces off."

Ice<Bastemon, I thought you promised to be on your best behavior.>

Bastemon<I was just playing! They're mean!>

*Cameron scans the winking PawnChessmon with his digivice. Biyomon coughs awkwardly*

They don't do anything further, but Tsune is still looking for a knuckle sandwich.

Azuma: "So then how about this uh...weather?"

*It pulls up the profile for Pawnchessmon & everyone judges him silently. After a withering stare from IceLeomon, Bastemon grumbles a really insincere-sounding apology into her paw.*

Ice<It's usually like this. Sometimes it rains, but not often. But for some reason the Chessmon really want it all for themselves. Don't feel you have to stay on my account. I imagine the hour must be growing late in the human world, & you wanted to see BanchoLeomon yet.>

Azuma: "They don't consider cooperating why? Could achieve a lot more by not being at each other's throats on the daily."

Biyomon:<When you've always fought each other, it's hard to put aside old feelings of mistrust.>

Ice<Perhaps that is why. No one really understands the Chessmon. Perhaps not even themselves.>

E"Yeah, don't you think you should put aside your negative feelings? It'd be an example for the Chessmon."

*She stops massaging Renamon to tug at Bastemon's arm. The cat, of course ignores her. She sighs.*

E"What if there are treats involved?"

*Bastemon squints back at Euryale shrewdly with 1 eye.*

Not the answer he was expecting, but it is better than the answer he was expecting.

Patamon: "You have treats?"

Lunamon:<So...why do you guys hate each other anyway?>

OOC: ...What was the answer he was expecting?

E"I can probably find treats. I bet there's good food aboard the Mermaimon ship."

*Bastemon wags her tails & sways back & forth because she is being offered treats, but hisses again at the mention of Mermaimon.*
