City of Amnesia

Zell, still a bit shaken, tried to calm her nerves, "Right, so this is an everyday thing... I should just..." She took a deep breath, "calm down." With that she saw the mummy snarl at her and nearly screamed, "I-- I have no clue what you're even talking about!"

Barbatos<You have a task to perform today. There is a Megadeus ransacking the city. You are to destroy it. Do you understand me?>

*The Megadeus punches at her. Lilith jumps over the table, pushing her out of the way, & is smashed into the floor for her troubles.*

Vera<Good zat you understand.>

*As she hangs up, there's a rumbling, & the Megadeus whose name I forgot bursts ouf of the ground in front of her house.*

Zell reaches her hand out, "LILITH!" Looking back at the Megadeus, she says, "What in the hell do you want from me, who are you?!"

*Hitomi returns the phone to its cradle and a few minutes later is outside.*

Barbatos<The Megadeus is where you left it. The construction zone has been evacuated under the pretense of safety from the attacking Megadeus. You should meet with no resistance.>

<You can call me Schwarzwald. What I want is for this city to see its true face & burn to the ground!>

*Thiera stands up, adjusting her watch.*

T"You're obviously a burn victim. How did you find this Megadeus? Did you used to work for Paradigm?"

*Aside from her Megadeus, another is approaching, a large, boxy, samurai-looking one that's just stomping through streets & buildings like some kind of asshole.*

*Through a series of commands, Hitomi boards the Megadeus and turns around to put some distance between hers and it.*

[I don't remember where I left it. Hell, I left it in a hole. How is that bulky thing supposed to even get out? Climb? I really doubt that.]

"How are you not worried about Lilith?!" Zell asked the oddly calm Thiera.

*One of the Megadeus's hands fires out, grabbing Hitomi's by the throat. She then feels the sensation of the Megadeus being electrocuted, with her inside.*

"As long as her memory files remain safe, she'll be alright. Don't panic, that's exactly what he wants."

<Of course I don't! It's your fear that keeps you from finding out the truth! That android is more alive than you!>

*Thiera stops fiddling with her watch.*

"That's what Senthose said."

*She hangs up.*

Zell is entirely bewildered by what is going on, and simply doing her best to not get punched by a giant robot.

*Hitomi flicks a switch and the Megadeus' machine gun ports open up and fire on the enemy.*

[For the sake of mobility it's armor was greatly reduced.]

*Vega hangs up and heads out.*

[What an interesting lady.]

*She strides over to the console and examines it carefully.*

*It's a computer console. Its only modification is a large button above the keyboard that reads "release."*

*The robot lifts its fist, revealing that Lilith has lost an arm & a leg. Literally. All parts are mostly in-tact, just not with each other. The next second, the Megadeus from earlier crashes through the floor, drilling into the new robot's crotch. Schwarzwald lets go of the controls, waving his hands in front of his face & shrieking like a baby.*

L"I appear to have gone to pieces."

*The bullets mostly bounce off of its armor, leaving a few dents.*

*Kanrei Tsuki raises its rifle to its hip and fires.*

Topaz: <Of course.>

[Fine then.]

*She presses the button, narrowing her eyes.*

Luna wakes up, realizing she had fallen asleep for some reason, and rings the number again.

Zell runs to Lilith's side, "Are you alright, aside from the fact that your limbs are not connected to the rest of you?!" Zell said looking at her, "Is that fixable?"

L"It should be.*

*The phone starts ringing.*

L"Someone else will have to get that."

*The Megadeus stumbles back, a piece of its shoulder armor blown off.*

<AHHHHHHHHH!>

*Schwarzwald jumps out of a hole in the cockpit as a beam of energy shoots into the robot, blowing out its ass. It falls down backwards, collapsing more of Thiera's kitchen. As Schwarzwald turns to run, Lilith grabs his leg

*The chains release & the Megadeus kneels, the cockpit disengaging.*

*Kanrei Tsuki begins to walk back firing another round at the Megadeus.*

"So you're going to be alright, I'm glad." Zell said. Not expecting Schwartzwald to run past, let alone stop close to her, Zell lets out a bit of a scream and punches him in the face as hard as she can before backing up a bit.

*As Schwarzwald falls over, Thiera grabs the phone.*

T"Who are you & what do you want, I am very busy today!"

*The Megadeus staggers back, its hand having been severed. The electric current ceases. It points its other arm at her.*

*Kanrei Tsuki raises its rifle to its shoulder. Inside Hitomi is positioning the rifle, so it's aiming at the Megadeus' head*

[Target in the center, pull the switch. Target in the center, pull the switch. Target in the center, pull the switch.]

*Kanrei Tsuki fires.*

"Luna Seppun, and I want to speak with you... bad time?"
Luna was considering just going to Thiera's house instead of fucking around with the phone.

Zell looks at the empty Megadeus that Schwartzwald was in, "This is the second Megadeus to almost kill me." She said to herself, "It actually would have if it wasn't for Lilith."

*After having its head blows off, the Megadeus keeps walking towards her.*

T"Actually, yes, it is."

L"Then why don't you just keep this one?"

*Still struggling to get free, Schwarzwald kicks Lilith in the head. He then gasps in pain.*

*Kanrei Tsuki lowers its rifle and resumes backing up. From behind Gelu Chalybs raises its assualt rifle and fires on the Megadeus.*
