After Hours: Episode 1

"Paris, I came to the DWMA seeking asylum with Kaylee. Europe's infested with witches. I finally got tired of being hunted so we fled the country. It was harrowing and even now I sometimes can feel as though..." he shivered.

Kaylee placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Are you sure? Can we really trust them that much?"

She nodded.

"... my mother is a witch. We escaped because we were in love. My mother had... many awful things sanctioned in order to prevent us from being together. Kaylee lost her beautiful singing voice because of me... I came to the DWMA to refine my power so that I can return to Europe as the meister of a death scythe and hunt down every last one of those cunts that would dare hurt my Kaylee" Lune spoke with passion and anger.

Sab smiled, "I'm happy that you managed to make it here, and I'm happy you want to protect her."

"But make sure you know why you're fighting. Falling to vengeance is never a good thing, despite how it may feel at the time. If you want to become strong and hunt down every last witch you know, be my guest, just make sure you do it for the right reason." Dura picked up, looking out the windshield.

"Heh, its something I struggle with. I'm glad that Kaylee might have the seeds of an anti-insanity wave length in her. Even as a male and lacking the qualifications to affected by the pull of magic I still fear that someday I may fall to the pull of insanity" he took Kaylee's hand and smiled.

"I hope that we can all become friends."

"Ditto, kid. The more outlets you have, the less likely you are to do something stupid anyway." Dura said with a smile.

"I still think you're irresponsible Videl," Lune glared at V, it was lacking any real malicious intent though this time, "but I suppose I should relax."

"Agreed, now that that's settled, what exactly do you have planned V?" Dura added.

Videl was still staring skyward, amazed with the structures and lights. (Although this was not his first visit)
"This place is beautiful." he thought.
The team kept walking down the never-ending path of beauty.
"Hey, Kid." He was referring to Lune he spoke without facing him, still walking.
"I think it's really cool that you have the drive to protect someone this much,
I can respect that. That's all."
He tuned his head to Dura and pointed out "Roller coaster?"

Ami looked up for the first time and almost dropped her book out of excitement. "Woah! We're in Vegas!"

Jackson laughed dryly. "You just now noticed that?"

She shrugged it of and proceeded to launch into a speech about how great Las Vegas was. "--and there's this amazing club in one of these Casinos I stayed in once--"

"Ha, no way I'm taking you into a club this time," Jackson glared at her. "I still have nightmares about last time..."

"Come on, the security guards weren't THAT scary. I could've taken them out if you would have let me," Ami replied, returning his glare.

"You're insane."

"You're no fun."

Scenario: So the group rid coasters, went to dances, and enjoyed the scenery. Even the cynical Lune secretly enjoyed some of it. The time was dawning one in the morning, so they took a final walk down the main road they arrived on, Videl still reveling in the lights.

Encounter: But all was not well. Sin City was not a place of purity, greedy souls come here and in fits of loss and rage a soul had gone far passed the lines of humanity. An evil human was born that morning, and in it's demon instinct hunted for any powerful souls (Form) Luckily, there was a small buffet of strong souls near-by. The demon leaped from a tall structure Videl was admiring and suddenly was standing right in front of all the young students, insanity in it's eyes.
Who will attack first?

Videl was startled and in his fit of confusion and protection pushed as many as he could down on the ground behind him.
The demon lunged for him and cut the shoulder of his parka. Now enraged his arm transformed into the head of a giant axe and retaliated with another lung at the demon. He scathed the creature and defended himself as best as he could.

Lune was enjoying it a bit but all that came crashing as soon as the Kishin egg arrived. As expected Videl went on the attack. Unexpectedly so did Lune. Without Kaylee at first. Black colored sparks of energy danced around his hand as he thrust his palm forward after some fancy footwork brought him close enough to Jack the ripper, "Crow Claw" the black energy surged forward a few inches from his hand towards the Kishin egg like a lance or even a bird's vicious talon.

Soul Eater 101: Soul Menace - The technique is a form of self resonance which is only known to be usable by a select number of individuals. By resonating with one's own soul the user can drive their own soul wavelength directly into an opponent's body through a physical strike on them.

With the Kishin stunned Videl lept for another big strike, his axe cutting
through the chest cavity. The beast survived both attacks and delt another blow to the both of 'em.

Lune flew back and landed on his feet next to Kaylee. It was time to get serious. Kaylee nodded and Lune took her hand as her body reformed into an elegant straight sword and sheath. He slowly unsheathed her revealing the bare bladed which had a deep scar on it near the middle. He spun the sheath before placing it in a belt loop.

"Videl hit that thing at the legs, Ami, Jackson cut off it's escape if it flees. Dura, Sab, you're with me. We're going to bisect that Kishin egg. Let's go." He pointed the tip of his weapon downward and black wisps which sparked gently began to flow freely before he made his attack.

Videl struggled fighting the monster alone, he managed to expel some stunted dialogue whilst brawling.
"Quit-" "-Ordering-" "people-" "around, Kid!"
He staggered it and landed on his feet.
"Everyone attack!"

"Its called being a leader, maybe you should learn it!" he slashed at the ripper, a trail of energy following the blade.

"Let's go, Cresswell," Ami said darkly, grabbing Jackson's hand as he spun and reformed into a long, sleek bayonet.

Ami kept her distance from the Keshin, slowly walking around the circumference of the area while Lune, Kaylee, and Videl kept the creature occupied, looking for it's weak spot. Ami diverted her attention for a split second to watch Lune fight the demon. This kid's got game, she thought.

Her eyes flew back to the Keshin, and without even pausing to think, Ami ducked low and sent a few shots at the back of the creature's knees, making sure no one in front would get crushed if it fell.

"Take that, you bastard!" She said, laughing wickedly.

Demon's weak knees
knew no balance
he collapsed
staring death right in face
Videl's sharp blade came down
in a crushing blow
leaving the mangled demon dead.
Oh, what beau.

A crowd of watchers had seen the whole fight from a distance, after it was done there were no signs telling them to praise or fear the young characters.
In a rush, as they came, they piled into Videl's van and drove back down the highway to the DWMA.

(While driving to Presley Classics)
"Woo! Didn't even know what hit 'im!" Videl was ecstatic

Before they left Lune made sure to grab the soul in a handy jar for those sort of things and piled in.

As V drove Lune climbed to the front and shook the jar, "You killed it, you get it. Fair's fair."

Dura had been sitting on a nearby bench, and clapped when everything was done. "Good job guys." She said, trademark smile on her face.

Sab was sitting on the bench as well, nearly passed out, though she managed to give a small thumbs up.

"I probably should have mentioned it before, but Sab can't over indulge... in anything really. If she does she's likely to go comatose." Dura explained, "Luckily, there were five of you guys to take care of that kishin."

"Yayyyy..." Sab said, words slurred, and head bobbing from side to side.

In the car Sab was asleep in the back, while Dura sat upfront again, bobbing her head to the music.

"That shit was epic, man!" Ami yelled. She was apparently still pumped from the fight. "Nice job, V. Oh, and you too, kid," she added, looking at Lune.

"Yeah, yeah, calm down," Jackson said. "I wish it would've lasted longer. We barely even got to do anything."

Ami pulled a Monster out of her backpack and started drinking. "Aw, shut up, you'll get your nice long fight eventually. Speaking of that...Oi, Videl! You and I still need to have a practice spar sometime."

Videl looked at the morsel, mouth watering.
"Nah, man. You kicked ass back there, you guys take it"
"Side's, I had a big steak dinner."

"What 'bout you, Dura?" Videl glared
"How was your night?"

"You sure?" Lune asked.

"No, I'm not." Videl laughed
"So take it before I change my mind."
