| I forget what you're talking about.
Rebuild is largely the same setting, it just emphasizes the anti-Angel fortifications of Tokyo-3 much more. Because, more money to blow on fancy buildings.
Hitting all of those again:
Tokyo-3: A stretch because it's just elevators, motorized ramps, etc. on a really big scale. GeoFront: Lost technology from outer space, can't be "futuristic" if it came from millions of years ago. Evas: The Evas were made through cloning & turning off genes, both of which we've done many times over. Jet Alone: A robot that can move that well, let alone a giant one, is pretty futuristic. Also nonsensical. Positron Rifle: Like you said, the main problem is that it's similar to a few weapons we have today.
But you're forgetting the Magi. It's pretty much the AI scientist's wet dream: A computer that's fully capable of thinking like a person, complete with self-contradictions.

| The new episode of Guilty Crown was kind of cool. Feel bad for Shu.
"I was so happy." "I lied."

| "Another"? Please, we couldn't do the last one because it upset Script's delicate sensibilities. | |

Poor kid. Yeah I found out about that and decided to drop the series.

| I don't know what you guys are talking about, so I'm completely in the dark here, but I can see dropping a series if a plot twist is stupid enough. It has to be really, REALLY stupid though. Something the series can't possibly recover from. Like reviving everyone who ever died ever. | |

| Basically a Rei expy "pretended" to be nice to a kid, and the kid fell in love, only to find out she did it under orders. I have my doubts, and after only 5 episodes, I'm positive the series can recover, though I wouldn't use that word since I don't think it hurt the series. How weird would it have been if the socially awkward kid bagged the hot girl after 5 episodes? | |

| You mean like how Renton pretty much bagged the girl in Eureka 7 in only like, what, three episodes?
And yeah it just sounds like it was handled poorly and given how Shu seems he's probably going to drop the Anti-bodies on their heads.
Edit: Also getting tired of shows that make the group treat the new guy like crap.

| They don't really. The girl that had a crush on Gai is cool with him, Inori is Inori, the guy with the scar is cool with him, Gai is... Gai, and there is a bubbly girl who seems to be cool with everyone. They are not mean to him, and by the end of the episode he is "one of them", so to speak.
Also, didn't really get into Eureka 7, but I assume you mean the girl with green hair.
Did you watch the episode?

| Yes. Though now Shu seems closer to being a Renton/Shinji mix expy than what people are saying he is (Shinji/Lelouch). | |

| I couldn't comment, I've not seen Eureka 7, or Code Geass.
Also, why don't we just say he is Shu. It is only 5 episodes in, I don't see how one can find a character so derivative of another in such a short time, aside from the clear Inori/ Rei comparison.

Just talking, using my inside voice, trying to make some points, maybe start a back and forth.

Either way, he's just awful. Script, FLCL, 6 episodes total.

| Yes, but FLCL didn't really explain much of anything until two wham episodes at the end. As for Noata's character growth, the entire anime was ABOUT Noata coming of age, so it isn't a surprise that they were able to do so in 6 episodes. With something like Guilty Crown, where the story and setting are just as important as the characters and events, 5 episodes is very little time to make a definitive determination on the nature of a character. | |

| Rei isn't made from the Angels, she just has Lilith's soul or something stupid.
Also, I don't think you realize just how far cloning technology has progressed. If we HAD an alien, we could do that. Not sure if it would survive, it would depend on the genes & what we did with them, but we have the capability to clone humans, it's just that everyone's a huge baby about it.
