Liking Guilty Crown more and more... though their bid to get Shu, and the audience, to feel sympathy for the bad guys would go a lot better if the bad guy didn't look like a weirdo, and their deeds not already shown to be... evil... preformed by a stark raving lunatic. Either commit to having loony toon bad guys, or make them more shades of gray. Don't try for one, then switch.

Also I think they're showing that the org has pockets of bad but is also fundamentally good at its core.

Once again, I get that, but it is hard not to point out the bad when that is literally all you've seen, and the guy telling you they're good looks like a total psycho.

If they wanted that to hit home they should have had Shu's mother be the one to deliver the speech, seeing as she has already been revealed to be a notable element in GHQ, preferably after an episode of getting to like her, and the work she does.

As it stands, I have no interest in listening to the ramblings of some guy with purple hair, an eye tattoo thingy, and pointed canines in his mouth. Shu shouldn't either. Right now they are playing on Shu's bad relationship with Gai, which may work, but if not coupled with a good relationship with GHQ it could easily fall through, as I'm sure it will, unless these first episodes were just the most bitchin' way to set up Gai as a big bad the audience cares for, which I highly doubt.
