*Barrow proceeds towards the light in the distance.*

Mortal looks at the shroom in her hands, "Well, I can see that, but what do they do?"

"I think it is Grunty Food," Sab said.

"What in the World is a Grunty?"

Thiera: Grunties are animals that can be raised by the player as a beast of burden. When you have raised your first Grunty, he will present you with a Grunty Flute. You can use this item to call the Grunty in a field & the whole party can ride it. While riding a Grunty, you will not trigger Magic Portals. Grunties cannot be used in dungeons, or some events. Other events, however, are specifically made for Grunties. Grunties can also track certain objects in the field.

Euryale: Are you reading off of the manual?

Thiera: No. I mean yes.

*The Cerberus is apparently higher in level than the Red Wyrms, because it is only at about 60% health. It raises its heads & inhales deeply.*

*Once they get closer to the light, the Magic Portal opens. This time, 2 Mushroom Kings emerge, stomping towards them.*

"I got mine used, so it didn't come with a manual," Mortal said.

Sab looked frustrated, "I told you not to get it used."

"But it was cheaper..."

Noct takes the time to down a potion to buffer against what is probably going to hurt like hell.

*The cerberus breathes fire out of each of its heads at her, taking off about 35-40% of her HP.*

Thiera: I didn't know I could get it used.

Euryale: You didn't? Are you saying you pay between 50 & 70 dollars for all of your games?

Thiera: This is the first game I've ever bought.

Monudon:< Alright then. I guess I should push on ahead.>

"You shouldn't get it used. Getting it new gets you cool stuff, like manuals, and sometimes in game items," Sab said, "Some games won't even let you get online without a new copy. Like Mortal, I bet she had to buy her subscription new, instead of using the free month that came with a new copy."

"I got the game 20 bucks off, and the monthly subscription is only 15," Mortal said, "I saved 5 dollars."

"But the principle!"

"I'm with Sab on this."

They're still walking towards that place they were going.

Euryale: Actually, I got mine used as well. It isn't too hard to find the manual online.

Sab let out a sigh, "It isn't about sides, I just think the devs deserve a bit of compensation for a job well done."

"Aren't the people behind this one of the biggest corporations around?"

"I've had bad experiences with used games so I always try to buy new."

*Zalera arrives on a hill behind her & watches as the Cerberus finally goes down.*

Zalera: You are not very good at this game.

*After walking for a while, Monudon spies a Red Wyrm flying away from his general direction.*

*As they're walking across the field, they see a pool of water come into view. Just behind it is Magic Portal.*

"Oh no, my 1337 skills are being insulted, whatever shall I do?"

"So that is that magic water thingy right?" Mortal asked.

Monudon:[ Here it comes.]

*Monudon readies his spear*

Zalera: It isn't an insult, it's an observation. You are very wasteful with your use of items. You should have been able to dodge a few of those attacks with your class's high speed. Or use magic & avoid being hit altogether.

Euryale: Yeah. If you throw a weapon or a piece of armor in the Spring, it will improve it. Sometimes, it gives you back something weaker, but since we're all using default equipment, that won't happen. Of course, if we try to get near it, the Magic Portal will open.

*Monudon watches the Wyrm fly by, then resumes walking*

"Oh no, my 1337 skills are factually bad, whatever shall I do?" Noct began to run away in search of another portal.

At 'it will improve it' Mortal began to make her way over to try and upgrade her shit.

Sab let out a sigh and followed.

*Zalera follows.*

Zalera: If nothing else, you'll make a good distraction.

*Up ahead, Monudon is running towards them.*

Zalera: Does he seriously not know that the fields loop? What is with people today?

Euryale: You have to select--hold on.

*The Magic Portal had just opened, releasing 3 Mad Grasses. Two of which were running around the right side of the Spring, the other around the left. Euryale thrusts her palm out to the two & a tornado of rocks forms underneath them. MISS comes up several times, but they are reduced to critical health nonetheless. Thiera raises her staff, causing chunks of ice to converge on the other one. Their movements are temporarily halted.*

Annoyed, Noct gates out back to town.

Sab uses a Juk Rom on the ones Euryale attacked. Mortal makes a beeline for the one that Thiera attacked, slicing at it.

*Monudon slows to a stop*

Monudon:< Oh hello again.>

*After Monudon says that, parallel golden rings move up Noctis's body, & she disappears from the field.*

Zalera: I'm logging off. I just found something more interesting to do.

*After Mortal strikes the Mad Grass, it splits in half, turns gray, & then melts away. The other 2 Mad Grasses also turn gray & vanish.*

Euryale: As I was explaining, you have to select a specific piece of armor or weaponery & drop it in the Spring. The spirit will ask you if you lost a Golden Axe or a Silver Axe, but it's rhetorical, you can only select "neither."

*Noctis reappears at the town's Chaos Gate. Silver Knight walks up to her.*
