The Silver Skeleton.

*Marcus shakes his head.*

Marcus: "Don't know, too be honest, I've never dealt with their kind before. I wasn't even sure they spoke."

*Rygar resists the urge to just shoot the Kobolds and lead the group down himself, but decides to be a team player, as long as this doesn't take much longer.*

~Fares Forest~

At the mention of fresh meat Ka-Lite looked at the Kees, who nodded and scurried off towards the remains. "Thank you so much," Ka-Lite said, "Come, I show you to silver one." With that, Ka-Lite hops out of the brush and walks towards the well.

Iliad smiled, and gave Senthose a slight nudge with her elbow, "We might get done with this sooner than I thought. Got any plans for the remainder of the night?"

Ka-Lite grabs the second rung of the ladder, then continues down normally until he avoids the sixth rung, then the eleventh, and so on. "What are you waiting for? Come, follow Ka-Lite!" He called from the well. Jeanne looked at Verano, figuring it would be smartest for the trap finder to go first.

*Namond also stares at Verano*

Namond:<I don't suppose anyone really wants to go first......>

"I nominate Senny for it" Levin pipes up.

Jeanne laughs at the name 'Senny'.

*Senthose disregards their bullshit, scratching his chin as though in thought.*

S"I might be able to move some things around, make space in my schedule."

*Euryale follows.*

E"You shouldn't be so distrusting. Besides, they have to avoid their own traps. We just do as they do."

*Ryder scoffs at their bickering and heads down the well after Euryale.*

Marcus: "Look, I think we're smarter than these things. Let's just keep our wits about us."

*Marcus heads over to the well and tries to look down to the bottom.*

~Fares Forest~

Jeanne shrugged and began to climb down the ladder. Iliad simply shook her head, "It is like they don't realize that they can still fly and avoid the traps altogether." With that she hopped into the well, and floated down to the bottom.

~The Aqueduct~

The bottom of the well appears to be something of an artificial lake about fifty feet squared, in a circular shape. It is dark, but with the few torches it is easy to see why Madge was pissed. There is a damn where the lake would usually flow out. It is overflowing just slightly however, and is caught in a sluice gate so there is a steady stream of water that is still available. Around the edges of the dam can be seen fishing nets, and fishing gear, though more than enough for four kobolds. How much more is hard to say, but Iliad gave a rough estimate that there were maybe thirty five, to forty kobolds in this settlement.

The ladder ends at a small ledge against the wall of the lake about ten by ten feet, with a small ass boat hitched to it, obviously kobold sized. Ka-lite was already there, trying to set it up when he noticed a flying pirate behind him. It freaked him out a bit, but he tried to keep it cool, since Iliad seemed to be cool with it as well, and Iliad was supposed to help. Even kobolds knew it wasn't smart to piss off people who were going to help you.

By the time Jeanne got down there she was feeling pretty dumb, seeing as how Iliad was already floating down there, inspecting the place. Jeanne took a step onto the ledge, and looked around. She saw that the ledge had a very narrow path along the wall to the dam, no more than five inches wide. It didn't look very secure at all, but the only other option was the small boat, which, obviously wouldn't fit all of them. Jeanne was a bit apprehensive, since she was pretty shit at it before, but she took to the sky as well, seeing it as the only viable option at this point.

Ka-lite waited for everyone else to get their asses down there before doing anything. Jeanne and Iliad also realized that some of their group was going to have to be carried across, less they wade through the water, or try the ledge.

*Euryale takes to the air as well, tapping Senthose on the shoulder when he climbs down.*

E"You want a piggyback ride?"

S"No. Never."

E"Aw, come on. It's either a piggyback ride or the tiny boat."

*Senthose pointedly begins making his way along the ledge.*

Roll a d20.

*Namond also climbs down*

Namond:<How deep do you think the water is?>

Levin is the last to climb down having made sure nothing attacked them while they were climbing.

~The Aqueduct~

As if on cue to answer Namond's question, the path Senthose took crumbles slightly and he loses his footing and tumbles into the water. Should he stand up everyone will notice that the lake is no more than five feet deep.

Everyone roll a d20.

Never mind.

Iliad notices that as Senthose falls into the water something moves around in it as well. Clearly a living creature of some sort, perhaps an underwater Choker. Regardless, she flew down and snatched Senthose from the water. "Everyone, there is something in the lake. Avoid going in if at all possible."

E"I just want to point out that you wouldn't be wet if--"

S"If I wasn't crawling around in a neglected aqueduct?"

E"Well...I suppose that's one way of looking at it."

*Senthose sighs.*

S"Just go ask the kobolds what's in the water."

*Once she leaves, Senthose grumbles his thanks to Illiad. Euryale approaches a kobold & asks, "What is that thing in the lake?"*

*Namond stays on the ladder*

Namond:<I guess swimming over there is not going to be an option.>

~The Aqueduct~

"Chokers," Ka-lite said, "Dig pits, make nests." He then gets slightly angry, "Eat fish, kill kobolds. We stay out of water; use boat."

Iliad smiled, and brushed some damp hair out of Senthose's face. "Don't worry about it," She then pointed over at the dam, "Anyone who can fly should grab someone who can't, and get over the dam. Whoever is left over take the boat." With that, Iliad grabbed Senthose, and began to fly over. Jeanne grabbed Verano and did the same.

Once over the damn the girls dropped the boys off next to the small stream, and looked around. It was a long hall with a vaulted roof, about 25 feet wide. The middle five feet occupied by the steam, which was no more than a foot deep, if that. "Now we know why Madge was complaining about a water supply problem," Jeanne said, looking at the stream.

There were torches along the walls, but it was still hard to make out anything past 60ft before it disappeared into darkness.

Namond:<Wait up!>

*Namond gets in the boat, but waits for the others to join him*

OOC: Dam.

E"I'm confused. Why do you live down here, if so many things are trying to kill you? Surely there's some place less dangerous."

*Senthose has nothing to add, so he just takes in the sights. Mostly those of elven descent.*

Levin gets in the boat.

~The Aqueduct~

Levin can't fit in the boat with Namond in there. It is a very small boat, fitting only one more averaged sized person, plus Ka-Lite, or two more small people. That said, Namond can fly, so one would wonder why he is in the boat to begin with.

Ka-Lite looks hard pressed to find a good answer, "Old Chief pick place. New Chief doesn't want to look bad; wants to stay where old Chief settled. Ka-Lite don't like Silver One, said we should go before we all hurt. Ka-Lite is now a fisher. Chief still Chief."

Levin sighs at Namond being an ass for getting in the boat.

E"Well, I don't know if there's anything we can do about that. I guess we'll have to focus on destroying the Silver Skeleton for now. But maybe the others will have some ideas. I'm not exactly the brains of the group, I have to admit."

OOC: Senthose and Euryale are about 55ft away from each other, so Senthose is going to have a hard time staring at, or hearing her.
