Since Levin was an asshole, and ignored Jeanne, she shrugs, and looks north. "Should we--" At this point Rygar begins marching through the crowd. Iliad also begins to get moving. Jeanne follows after them, "I'll take that as a yes, I suppose."

--A short walk later--

The group comes upon a stone well, with a metal grate over it, and a simple crank system working the bucket on a rope. Iliad stops for a second and turns to Rygar, "May I see the map for a second. This looks familiar."

Everyone roll a d20.

Euryale notices a few kobolds along the treeline, looking at the group, but trying to hide away in the underbrush. There seems to be about 3, maybe 4 of them. Namond notices this as well, and can confirm there are indeed 4.

No one needs to continue rolling.

E"Hey. There's some kobolds hiding over there. 3, maybe 4."

Namond:<I see them too. I can confirm there are 4.>

"Are they directly in our way or can we find a way around them?"

OOC: Not paying attention ftl. The forum sometimes doesn't show that there are no posts here because chrome is being... well its being ass. Apologies.

*Rygar pulled out the map and stopped to look to the trees before handing it over.*

Marcus: "They're not in my way, I don't care. Master Dwarf, how far to the aqueduct?"

*Rygar opens the map up and takes a look.*

Iliad looked down at the map, then over towards the kobolds, who looked to be getting a bit fidgety. "It is as I thought," She pointed towards the well, then at a small circle on the map, "The well is a service entrance to the aqueduct. That means those guys over there are guards, I guess."

"So, this is an ambush?" Jeanne asked, placing a hand on the hilt of her weapon.

Iliad shook her head, "Calm down. They're probably just seeing what we're going to do. Kobolds are trap makers, not brawlers. There are also ten of us and four of them. If we get hurt, it'll be by rushing into this blindly." Iliad looked at Verano, "Care to do the honors, and see if the well is safe?"

Namond:<Only 4 guards? That doesn't seem right, but then again I don't know much about Kobolds.>

Verano had simply remained silent and looked over towards the kobolds, but as Iliad addressed him he nodded and carefully skirted around the area, looking for traps and the like.

Iliad shook her head, "As I said, they're trap makers. Why guard something that basically guards itself?"

Speaking of, Verano notices that the crank working the bucket is perfectly usable, but should he peer into the well he'll notice a ladder leading down into it. The first rung has a pretty well hidden spring loaded trap, the rest seem to be fine, but it is hard to see past the fourth rung in the darkness.

Verano heads back to the rest.

"So there's an entrance with at least one and probably more traps in the well. Going to need a good light to know for sure, but I'll point out I'm not exactly keen on climbing into a kobold den at night. Doubt that skeleton is stomping around down there."

Namond:<We could make camp.>

"We SHOULD make camp you mean?" Levin corrects Namond.

S"I have a light spell, & it's going to be dark down there anyway. Quit being pansies, so we can just get this over with."

"I'm with him on this," Jeanne pointed to Verano, "I don't like the idea of jumping down there."

Iliad let out a sigh, "We can't bypass the Kobold's full stop, the dwarf's dealings are with them, if I remember correctly. That said, if this silver skeleton does exist, I doubt they're fans of it. We could get on their good sides by getting rid of it, then have an advantage when trying to get them out of the aqueduct." She then furrowed her brow, "And we're not going to set up a camp, we've barely gotten started."

*Senthose takes a few steps away from the gang & turns to the kobolds. He holds a hand out.*

S"Hello...kobold guards."

*He twists his hand around before pointing at them.*

S"Do you have a minute to discuss a certain silver skeleton that we are trying to eliminate?"

*Marcus facepalms as Senthose starts speaking to the Kobolds.*

Marcus: "I hope he knows what he's doing."

*Rygar flexes his hands, ready to grab his crossbow should it not go according to plan. In truth, he's hoping it doesn't.*

*Namond shrugs*

Namond:< He seems to be pretty capable.>

~Fares Forest~

The sudden approach of Senthose spooks one of the kobolds, who takes a quick step back, firing a crossbow. Luckily for Senthose, or, perhaps luckily for the kobold, it sails over Senthose's head as the kobold stumbles back. Besides the trigger happy kobold, two of the others back up as well. The remaining one turns to them and puts his hands up, "Stop it!! Bin-Kee, control yourself." They are all very frail looking, almost skeletal in appearance. Bin-Kee nods sheepishly. The leader of the four turns around, "You speak of the silver one, no? Good, this is good! Silver one to blame for no fish."

By this point Iliad has walked up behind Senthose, "Fish? So, you're not guards?"

"Guards? No, we fish-- No... um... we do fish," The poor thing looks confused, causing Iliad to chuckle a bit.

"You catch fish," Iliad suggests.

"Yes, Bin-Kee, In-Kee, Pin-Kee, and me, Ka-Lite, we fish," Ka said, nodding, "But silver one makes fish go away. No more fish, no food; no food, no eat; no eat, we die."

Jeanne stepped forward, "We aim to make the silver one go away. Tell us where it is."

Ka-Lite looked back at the Kee's, and began talking in hushed tones. Senthose, being the closest, can make out something about 'sacrifice'. After a few seconds they look back at the group, "Yes, we take you to silver one!"

"I have a bad feeling about this all of a sudden" Levin mumbles under his breath but follows the rest of the group.

*Senthose pretends to hear absolutely nothing at all, & keeps up his jovial tone & warm grin.*

S"Oh, don't be so paranoid, Levin, we're all friends here, thanks to our common goal."

*He makes eye contact with the apparent leader of the Kobolds.*

S"You've put your trust in the right group. I assure you, if I see a threat, I will use my magic to burn it to ash."

E"Oh, hey, now that I think about it...can you eat wolves? We killed a bunch of wolves not far back."

*She points in the direction of where they were attacked by wolves.*

*Namond pulls Macrus's sleeve*
