Cabin in the Woods II

Azuma: "That was enough of an alarm for anyone."

Azuma heads back to the living room.

"So what happened?" Mortal asked, "Why was that guy picking on you?"

"I guess," Hector blinked a few times, feeling a little dizzy, then really noticed the termites. He started roughly trying to brush them off. "Oh, bugs, yuck."

"What was that noise?" Eduj asked as Azuma came back to the living room.

"Basic homophobia, I think."

*Meanwhile, everyone is still checking their respective rooms.*

Azuma: "Sounds like someone fell down the stairs."

"Hmm," Eduj frowned and looked in the direction of the basement.

"Oh, so you two were?" Gabe smiled, and nudged Aroma with an elbow, "You sly devil you."

"Hey, why aren't I the sly devil?" Sab asked.

"If I'm honest, I feel like sly devil is a bit much for either of you," Mortal said with a chuckle, "But congrats either way. You two were basically custom made for each other."

*Eve nods*

<Lead the way.>

Cameron:<This whole cabin is a death trap. Do you think you can make it back upstairs?>

*Thiera heads into the bathroom, & of course, finds absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, Roatha & Nero check the last bedroom.*

"Thank you...yes, we went on our first date tonight."

Sab smiled and blushed a bit, "I didn't think anyone would know until later, but I guess now everyone does. Isn't it amazing?" She visibly tensed and fidgeted a bit when she glanced at Noct and was met with the full force of her icy glare.

Noct realized that Sab's reaction was probably due to her own expression, and felt bad, but was too upset by the revelation to do much about it.

"That is great you two," Gabe said again, "Really, you guys are like adorable together!" She had to fight back the urge to pinch their cheeks or something, "It is going to be cuteness overload seeing you two together, doing couple stuff."

Sab looked back at Gabe and relaxed slightly before smiling and saying, "Uh, yeah. Yeah, I think so too."

*Monu follows Nero & Roatha, while Eve checks the bathroom with Thiera. Cameron and Tirea look at each other*

Cameron:<Hector, should we head up?>

Azuma up and sits back against the mattresses.

*Once all of the other rooms are cleared, the groups file into the hallway. Roatha shines the light in the living room to confirm that Azuma is in there, then heads into Taiyurle's bedroom.*

T"Where's the group that was scouting out the basement?"

*Aroma just looks around, smiling at everyone. Then she sees Noctis glaring, & frowns.*

Cameron:<Well, meet you up there.>

*They head up to meet up with the rest of the group*

Cameron:<Basement's clear.>

Eve:<Did you hear that crash a few minutes ago?>

Tirea:<Hector fell down the stairs.>

Noct smiles a fake smile, before giving up and just settling for a sad one, "I'm sure you two will be very happy together. You're both really great people."

"Thanks, Noctis," Sab said, still a bit wary of Noct's gaze, though it had lost most of its edge.

"Are...are you okay, Noct?"

*Nero snickers.*

T"What? Is he okay, how did he fall?"

Tirea:<He's fine, he should be right behind us.>

Cameron:<I think he must have tripped or something. The railing broke.>

Noct smiled wider, though not with any apparent enthusiasm, "Yeah, of course I am."

Hector picked himself up and climbed the stairs, this time with a great deal of care.

Mimiru stands up to retrieve the flashlight.

*Mimiru obtains flashlight!*

R"(So everything in here's been quiet?)"

*Once Hector is up, Thiera closes the door.*

T"Anything we should know about down there?"

"Well...okay, if you say so. I think we're gonna head back to the dorm. We weren't sure what to do before...that, & now it's getting late."

"Well, there were little bugs all over me when I fell, like ants or termites," Hector said, trying to find any that were still on him. If he found any he would get them on his hand and show Thiera. "If if were termites they might be eating away the structure of the cabin."

Mimiru: "Yeah. Aside from that bonehead falling down the stairs."

*As a matter of fact, several fall off of him, skittering along the floor. Nero starts stepping on them. Thiera grimaces slightly, but looks at his hand.*

"Termites. It's to be expected, really. So, did you fall because a stair broke?"

R"(Alright. Hey, if you want, you can all come out to the living room. We can spare one of the mattresses for them to sleep on, & it might be safer.)"

"Actually, no, strangely," Hector shook his head and went about dusting off as many as he could. "The railing sure broke easily, but the stairs didn't. Either I got dizzy, from fatigue or something, or something pushed me."
