Cabin in the Woods II

*Mimiru sees Roatha & Nero push the mattresses aside & open the door, the rest mainly getting in the way & making it take longer. She doesn't see the Shadow Man. That is, anywhere in the living room.*

Mimiru looks back to the hallway.

Azuma: "You two almost done there?"

Gabe was the first to admit, "Nah, I've got nothing."

"Me neither," Mortal said.

"What good are you two?" Noct said with a sigh.

Hector and Astarte waited.

*Hey, guess who's standing right there. While everyone else is being moronic, Roatha, Nero, & Thiera run out of the door. Euryale follows, pulling Taiyo along, soon afterwards.*

Eduj waited at the door to make sure Hector and Astarte got out. Hector dashed for the door, pulling Astarte along with him.

The two get on out.

*A cold wind rushes erratically around Mimiru, who feels herself being pulled back.*

N"Someone turn on a light!"

Azuma spins around to grab Mimiru's free hand with his good hand, Mimiru's backpack hanging off his arm.

He pulls her in his direction away from the cabin.

*They barely manage to stumble out of the door, & quite literally run into Taiyo & Euryale. Euryale, not being in the best shape right now, falls over, but quickly pulls herself back to her feet.*

Azuma & Mimiru: "Sorry."

The two get to their feet and follow the others.

*Eve, Tirea, Cameron, and Monu run out, Monu shutting the door behind him. They dash over to the others*

Cameron:<Are we missing anyone?>

Monu:<I don't think so.>

*Cameron turns on his flashlight and shines it around*

*Once again, the Shadow Man is right in the doorway.*

N"That way, you idiots!"

*He points & then Euryale, Nero, & co. run in the direction of the road.*

T"What if...that other thing...is out here...?"

*Monu, Cameron, Tirea and Eve follow*

Eve:<We may have to risk it!>

The two follow the others still.

Azuma: "Here's hoping we luck out like last time."

The three of them finished their drinks in an awkward silence before throwing down cash for the drinks, and turning to leave. "Listen, Noct, I don't know what's bugging you, but cheer up, alright," Gabe said, "We're all here for you, if you want to talk, or just want company." She put an arm around Noct and pulled her into a hug, giving her a small kiss on her head.

Noct let out a sigh, and hugged Gabe back, "You're right. I'm sorry. Lets just head home."

Mortal doesn't say anything, but smiled when Noct gave her a hug too.

*An indeterminate number of days later, Noctis enters her law class, & recognizes a guy sitting in the back corner as the dude from the bar. He's resting his chin on his hand & staring out the window.*

*Aroma & Sab have just gotten out of classes for the day. Aroma was in sewing.*

*The bushes move nearby. As Nero pulls out his knife, Vanessa emerges. She jumps a little at seeing someone pull a knife on her, & she's looking wide-eyed & glancing in various directions, but other than that, she seems fine.*

N"Oh, it's you."

V"Yeah, I was--"

N"Nevermind that right now, just keep moving."

V"You don't have to tell me twice. I think something's been following me."

R"Is it some big, hulking beast?"

V"No, it sounds like something crawling through the leaves."

*Tirea waves*

Tirea:<Glad we found you!>

Eve:<Another, new variety of monster?>

Noct takes her seat, and doesn't pay the coincidence much mind.

Sab heads back to her dorm.

Azuma: "Oh, piss."

As they're apparently at a safe distance to shoot the breeze, Mimiru gives Taiyo her backpack then holds Euryale's out to her.

Mimiru: "Up to carrying a little weight?"

E"Sure."

*Euryale puts her backpack on. She then pulls out her flashlight & shines it around as she's walking.*

N"Great. How many is that now?"

*Euryale looks behind them.*

*Not long afterwards, the class lets out.*

*Aroma was kind of hoping that Sab would come meet her or something, but since she hasn't, she heads back to the dorm.*

Eve:<Three, potentially four, since the foxes could be potentially involved.>

*Cameron shines his flashlight behind him*

Azuma: "Sneaky bastards. But really, I wouldn't include the less horrifying wildlife. Even if they are kinda freaky."

"Why on Earth does this damned forest have so many monsters in it? I mean, one was more than realistic..." Hector sighed, still having to lead Astarte. "Next thing we know we'll find Wizards or something stupid."

*They can see the Shadow Man gliding along at a distance. Fortunately, or not really since they'll be out in the open, they begin to come up on the road.*
