Episode Two: The Point of Absolute Zero

Azuma: "The ocean tends to have lots of fish. And I bet this world's oceans has sea serpents."

Patamon: "What are we going to do about the sockless duo?"

Patamon sits by the fire, staring at a piece of crab as it chars.

Azuma: "Likely take some of the ocean's treasures to them."

Taiyo: "I don't know. More time to spend together."

R"Well, we're going to need to catch more, if we're going to be doing that."

E"But you're hungry. Maybe we should go."

"A lot more."

Azuma: "It'd be less time consuming to make due with what we have and seaweed. You're gonna have to fashion a new hook already if not after each catch."

Taiyo: "I'm okay. That growling was me...grr."

R"Doesn't sound like a very complete meal."

A"Actually, seaweed is a source of all major proteins, as well as several vitamins & minerals, & of course water & salt."

R"Well, not all of us want to live off of some plants we scraped off of the ocean floor."

"Please stop, you're scaring me. I have the shivers again."

*Euryale quivers, pressing herself closer to Taiyo.*

*Eve starts to gut the fish to the best of her ability, and makes a pile of organs and such next to her*

It is a disgusting mess whicn results in her getting blood on her knife hand. The fish was likely barely hanging on when she cut into it.

Azuma: "Beggars can't be choosers. Might want to take the crab off the fire before it's rendered inedible."

Taiyo growls a little more, putting her arms around Euryale.

Taiyo: "I don't think I can say this enough, but I'm really glad to have met you."

*Eve cuts into the fish again, separating the head from the rest of the body*

Terriermon:<Ew.>

Lunamon:<Yay, food!>

R"We need to get more food, we have too many mouths to feed."

*He starts looking for another stick end to make into a hook.*

Hibiki takes the crab meat off the fire.

He finds one.

Azuma: "Whatever you say. It's also likely to begin getting dark soon if winter here is anything like our world."

Eve now has to live with knowing she helped torture a fish before putting it out of its misery.

Taiyo: "You're a lot warmer."

*Eve cuts off the tail, then puts it next to the head. After that, she starts removing the organs. Lunamon and Kylie also take some crab meat*

R"We can fish while we eat what we've already caught, it's not a problem."

*He goes about fashioning another hook.*

"Didn't we already go through that?"

"So who's up for crab?"

Patamon: "This guy!".

Patamon tries to hold a stick between his stubby paw things and bite into a leg.

Azuma: "And seaweed."

Azuma goes over to the fire and helps Patamon eat.

Salamon: "Shouldn't we go over there? Hitomi? Hitomi!"

Hitomi shakes her head, now back in reality.

Hitomi: "Hm? I suppose so."

Hitomi turns away from the ocean, looking over her shoulder at it as she goes by the fire.

Taiyo: "Probably. But it's kind of a new feeling."

Taiyo rubs Euryale's arm. Possibly trying to steal her body heat.

Taiyo: "It's nice."

*Roatha finishes the new line, & then casts it.*

R"Isn't anyone going to take anything to Euryale & Taiyo?"

"You're not half bad yourself."

As there is presumably a stockpile of seaweed, Azuma wraps some around sticks and sticks them in the ground near the fire.

Azuma: "Not sure what their eating habits are. Suppose we shouldn't boggart all the crab. Or seaweed."

Roatha can see the sun looming over the horizon. It's not long before something tugs on the line quite hard. Something big.

Azuma gathers a few skewers of crab and seaweed and heads to the phonebooths.

Taiyo nuzzles Euryale's shoulder.

Taiyo: "It feels kind of late. In our world, I'd possibly be napping at this time. You don't think they forgot about us, do you?"

*Eve cuts the fish into chunks, then stands up and heads to the ocean to wash her hands. Cameron and Biyomon join Kylie and Lunamon around the fire, also trying some crab*

*Roatha tries to reel it in. Aroma approaches Azuma, staring at the seaweed.*

A"Um...I don't mean to pry...but...."

E"Nah, Roatha is a good guy, he'll make sure we're taken care of."

Azuma: "Yes?"

This proves to be unsuccessful as whatever got the line is trying to reel HIM in.

A great [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] serpent rises from the ocean, ripping the rod from his hand from his hands and knocking him down. It lets out a roar, a lightning bolt firing from its horn into the sky before retreating back into the sea, the rod lost forever.

The three hear the roar, Taiyo sitting upright.

Taiyo: "What was that?"

"GODDAMNSHIT!!" Hibiki jumps when megaseadramon rises from the sea and ends up tossing his crab on a stick.

Which blkagumon catches and gobbles down, spitting the stick into the sand.

Hibiki glares before grabbing another stick and digging in.

*Eve falls over in shock*

<I think we may want to take the food somewhere else.>

R"Alternatively, we kill that son of a bitch & eat for a year!"

*He stands up & shakes his fist at the ocean.*

A"I was just--ahh--wondering--"

*She then jumps. Falling over, she scrambles back as she looks around wildly for the source of the sound. To her credit, Lalamon, who was waddling along beside Aroma, flies up in front of her to act as a shield from the unnamed threat.*

"I don't know...but I don't see anything out there, so I think we'll be fine. Oh! But the others--!"

*And so she checks her Digivice.*

Patamon spits up a chunk of crab shell, a look of shock on his face as if he remembered something.

Patamon: "Those aren't normally this close to land."

Hitomi stares out at the ocean, slight waves having formed in the water with MegaSeadramon's ascent and descent.

Azuma: "Hope we don't run into that ever. You all right?"

After freeing up a hand, he offers it to Aroma.

The signals are all present and accounted for. Two are near their position.

Taiyo: "Everyone seems all right."

Biyomon:<Maybe something forced it nearer to the shore.>
