S"(Don't have mine anymore. Something hit me pretty hard. Fortunately, I took all of the phones that I came across. I also have Gabe's & Mortal's.)"

E"What about Sab & Aroma?"

S"(I checked their room last & sent Lilith a recording of what I found.)"

E"Well, send it to us."

S"(Yeah, no shit.)"

*Eve whispers in Lilith's ear*

Azuma: "Worry about it later."

Eduj kept a vigil out of the windows.

Driver<Uh, I think you're gonna tell me now, or you can get out of this cab.>

L"And what will you say when we call to complain? That you were being chased by a monster?"

Driver<...Fine. I'll get you to your hotel, then I want you out. Maybe then that thing won't follow me home.>

L"Maybe."

E"Then we'll search it some other time. We just need to get somewhere & start going over what we know."

N"Which isn't much."

*Tirea stand near Astarte, staring at the ground*

Azuma: "Can you get us there any faster?"

Driver<Just be glad we haven't crashed into anything!>

*After passing an intersection, he shifts into drive & turns into it.*

L"Don't worry, we'll be there soon. When we get there, I got a few messages from Senthose to go over. I saw the Shadow in one of them, so that's how I knew it was nearby."

*Nero leads Taiyurle inside of the hotel, which has letters missing from the sign. Inside, the wallpaper is ripped away in places, revealing the boards underneath. Nero heads to the desk, where a woman with a blond bob in a dingy, faded uniform is working. She stops blowing her bubble & sucks her gum back in.*

N"Hey, can you check the records to see if I rented a room here a while back? The name is Nero Schwarz."

E"Please."

*She flips through some pages.*

<I don't see anything.>

N"This would have been a while ago."

<Ugh. I could go in the back to check, but there has to be an easier way to help you. Did you lose something? 'Cause it'd be in the lost & found by now.>

*She hefts a box up to the counter. As far as they can see, it contains a blue sweater, a stack of coffee stained books, & a ripped up, black backpack.*

Eduj stayed near the door and kept an eye out for trouble, having had to lead Astarte inside by the arm.

Cameron:<Uh, we actually wanted to check out the room.>

L"If he did. We still don't know what's on these messages."

Driver<Alright, here we are. Now get out.>

*Eve pays the cab driver double what the trip would have ordinary cost*

Azuma: "Good luck."

"Looks like they made it," Eduj said. Astarte looked up and responded to Tirea with an inclination of the head and an inaudible 'hello'.

Driver<Yeah, yeah.>

*He heads off, going faster than he probably should. Lilith & Thiera head inside.*

E"Hey, I just got off the phone with Senthose, he said he messaged you, & the girl at the desk is checking to see what room those 2 checked out way back when."

L"Yeah, the phone said, 'Noctis,' but I thought that might have been him. I haven't looked at them yet. We'll add that to the list of things to do once we get up into the room."

Girl<Okay, it says that you checked out Room 216. It's open. You want it? Are you...all going to use the same room? 'Cause it's only 2 beds.>

N"Yeah, uh, how are we paying for this, again?"

Azuma: "A mixture of cash and whatever other means we have?"

*Eve follows Lilith inside*

Eve:<I think we have enough it we all pitch in.>

*She takes out her wallet*

L"Just 1 room should be fine. We, uh, won't be staying long."

<Hey, I don't ask questions. If you have 40 Euros, you get the key.>

*Lilith starts digging out her money. Nero pointedly walks away from the counter. Euryale glares at him.*

E"Sorry, I don't have anything. Unless there's an ATM nearby."

L"No, don't bother. Too much effort just to get a cheap room."

<Says the girl who just gave me less than half of the price.>

The others start rooting through their pockets and wallets until money.

*Eve donates 15 euros, while Cameron and Tirea each pitch in 5*

*She passes them the room key, which Lilith takes, leading them upstairs.*

T"Are we...sure this place isn't bugged?"

L"I guess we can check, but I don't know how much good it will do."

Azuma: "Not that it matters as they always know where we are."

Eduj looked out of a window to see how high up they were, and decide whether if they had to they could jump out without serious injury.

Cameron:<It could even be magically bugged or something.>
