Cabin in the Woods II

*Until they cross into the forest, it is.*

"Okay. How about the 3rd row? It looks like it's more-or-less level with the stage. Oh, wait, there are people there. Fourth, then."

*She heads to the middle of the 4th row.*

Cameron:<I don't know, it's been a while.>

*Eve then checks how they are moving compared to Polaris*

Astarte slipped out of her room and made for the kitchen, moving as quickly and quietly as she could. If anybody was to shine a light on her face, they would see that tears were still marking her cheeks.

Sab happily tails Aroma to the middle of the fourth row.

*As they go to sit down, their hands brush each other.*

*It looks like they're on the right track. Maybe. It's eaten by trees rather quickly.*

<I think we're on the right track.>

Sab blushes slightly, and quickly places her hands in her lap.

Taiyo keeps on helping Euryale, biting her lip in her struggle.

Azuma: "Because no one has been monitering any form of time keeping device."

V"I...might have forgotten to charge my phone."

*Aroma frowns & does the same, more slowly.*
==================================
*They arrive at a bush with dozens of tree branches laying on top of it, criss-crossed.*

N"Whoa. Is this the same bush?"

T"I think so. I can see the branches on the side are broken where it looks like someone was thrown into it. Oh, there's the knife."

*She points to a knife partly-covered by leaves that is now almost completely rusted over & broke in half. She then takes the handle end & places it in her pocket.*

N"What are you doing?"

T"It's all rusted up because it was used on that thing. We might be able to figure out what it does."

*Roatha flicks on his flashlight, peering in different directions.*

R"That's great. Can we just go? Those shadows are still after us, & I can't tell if the things moving around us are trees or monsters."

T"We'll never be able to get over this, we'll have to go pretty far out of our way."

Azuma: "Should uhh...get on that."

<(Interesting......)>

*Eve stares off into space for a second, then shakes herself*

<It looks like it can't be helped.>

Tirea:<Me too...I think my charger my have been in my suitcase though...>

"Is something wrong?" Sab asked, noticing the frown.

V"Yeah, okay. I'll just power it with my bicycle generator."

*At this point, Taiyo & Euryale pretty much lunge out of their room, Euryale grabbing the door frame & leaning against it, her legs shaking.*

*They start moving around the bush, Roatha occasionally shining his light back to serve as a reference point. As mentioned before, this area is surrounded by thick bushes & trees, making it difficult to get back on the path. Roatha shines the light ahead.*

R"I think I see one of Nero's markings."

*While they're stopped, they hear leaves scuffling behind them.*

"Nothing, I just didn't expect you to react like that, is all," Aroma responds curtly.

*Eve spins around*

<You all hear that?>

*Tirea looks at Vanessa oddly*

"I'm sorry," Sab extended her hand, "I just figured you might want more arm room, but I'd love to hold your hand, if you want."

Azuma: "Or maybe you can power it with all your negativity."

Mimiru leaves the bathroom, her path blocked by Taiyo & Euryale.

Mimiru: "Need any help?"

V"You're stupid. Shut up."

E"We're trying to get to the kitchen to get some food. But I think I'm too heavy."

*Caught off-guard, Aroma blushes.*

"O-okay."

*Roatha points his flashlight to see a dark shape like a medium-sized dog or an overgrown cat hobble into the bushes.*

Astarte had some food and water, which she took back to her room. She was probably blocked by the others at some point, and wordlessly slipped by them.

Azuma: "And rage."

Taiyo: "It's all right. You're not. Really."

Mimiru shinee her light, stealing a glance at Taiyo's buckling knees before moving in to support Euryale's other side.

Mimiru: "I insist."

*As someone smacks into Astarte & causes her to spill her water, she realizes that her food is uncooked.*

E"Thank you. I'm sorry to be so...what was that?"

V"Maybe we can stab it into you, see if it works like a potato battery."

Azuma: "Wanna find out?"

Mimiru shines her flashlight at Astarte.

Mimiru: "Bad timing."

Astarte frowned at her food and went back to the kitchen without responding. She began cooking her food and refilled her water.

*She can hear the hiss of the gas escaping the burner, but it does not ignite.*

E"I guess you guys can just...put me down on a chair somewhere. Does anyone have a lighter?"

Mimiru: "In my pocket...I have Azuma's."

Azuma: "What do you have of mine?"

Mimiru: "Your lighter."

Azuma: "All right."

She turned off the burner and went back to her room, now highly irritated.
