The War of Paradigm City

L"Vera & Barbatos have declared war on each other. We don't know what will happen. That Pruslas guy claims that a Megadeus War could be the end of the world."

"That sounds horrible..." She said, wondering why she needed to know such bad news. "Is there anything we can do?"

L"I don't know. But I believe Thiera had me tell you this because she's thinking of doing something."

"Okay, I would be most grateful if you were to keep me informed on Thiera's plan of action as far as this is concerned, assuming it has anything to do with me." She said, returning to her painting. "So, how was your day otherwise?"

L"You were there."

*Another broadcast comes on, announcing that Schwarzwald was found dead in the desert.*

*Hitomi not having a television set gets none of these broadcasts. So instead she goes to the library for the first time in ever.*

OOC: It is still the same day?

"That's nice." She said, still painting.

~The Next Day~

*Everyone is sitting down to pancakes.*

T"We need to decide what we're doing."

*The library was closed.*

Zell begins to eat her pancakes, waiting for Thiera or Lilith to come up with an idea.

*Hitomi lies in bed staring up at the ceiling. Not that she can see it without her glasses.*

*Vega sits up and looks around expecting to see someone or something that doesn't belong.*

L"What do you mean?"

T"If we don't do something quickly, there's a war that's about to be brought to our doorstep."

L"But how could we stop it, even if we wanted to try?"

Zell continues to eat, "Barbatos is the bad one right, why can't you just get rid of her? Then there will be no war."

*She gets out of bed and goes about doing morning stuff. Showering, getting dressed, eating breakfast, crap like that.*

*Seeing nothing or no one that doesn't belong, he goes about making breakfast.*

T"That implies that Vera is good."

*She sighs.*

T"But, yes, that is probably the only way to resolve this issue."

Zell shrugged, "The lesser of two evils, if you want."

*Hitomi goes to the library.*

*Vega sits down to watching some tv.*

*Topaz walks into her house, lies down on the couch, and falls asleep again. She dreams of Barbatos, Sulpher, Luna, her father, Lilith, Thiera, Senthose, and Zell. When she wakes up, she's feeling less depressed, but a lot angrier. She takes out her soaked cell phone and looks from it to the telephone Luna shot broken, checks her guns, changes clothes, and walks out to find Barbatos.*

L"If we go to stop Barbatos, it stands to reason that Vera will send others with us. We will BECOME the first attack."

T"As long as it stays a stealth mission, that should be acceptable."

*The librarian drops a stack of books upon seeing her. She is puffy-eyed.*

<Hitomi! W-what are you doing here? I haven't seen you in forever....>

*Every channel is broadcasting speeches from the staff of Paradigm-2, talking about how people should conserve metal, practice bomb drills, etc.*

*Hitomi tilts her head, looking at the librarian.*

"I came here to find something to read."

[It's times like these I do wish someone came barging in or something.]

Zell finished eating her breakfast.

<O-oh...okay....>

*She starts picking up the books.*

L"Well. I guess we know what we're doing today."

T"I'll go get the Megadeus ready to be shipped out. Just in case."

*Vega's phone begins to ring.*

"Okay..."

*She goes about browsing through the aisels.*

*He answers.*

"Hello?"

Zell let out a sigh, "We can never have just a quiet day to relax."

*Barbatos is at the Paradigm-2 Headquarters. Duh.*

Barbatos<Vera will be making her move soon. I want you to take the Megadeus through the tunnels to the headquarters. A map will be provided.>

"All right."

*He hangs up and leaves, heading to the hangar.*
