"No, sorry..." Hector said. "I am supposed to be meeting somebody here, I think... He might have one."

Luna: Then joining a party with you would be meaningless.

Zalera: Now, don't be like that, I even bought a Book of Healing just for you.

*Zalera walks into the clearing.*

Euryale: So, when is Mortal's test over?

"Uh, I don't know, she said she'd call," Sab said.

Monudon:[ What the heck is that?]

*Monudon walks closer to get a better look*

*The creature starts walking in the other direction.*

Euryale: Oh, okay. I'm just making small talk. Kinda bored, is all.

Thiera: Why are you playing a game if it bores you?

Euryale: Well, it doesn't bore me all of the time. But more to the point, the major selling point of The World is player interactions.

*Euryale starts walking in a random direction.*

*Monudon chases after the creature*

"I wouldn't say that that is its MAJOR selling point, particularly for solo players, but I do like some of the people I find here," Sab said, following after her.

Euryale: Solo players aren't necessarily playing as intended. Case in point, most of the dungeons assume 3 basic things: You have a way to heal, you're in a party, & you can use 2-3 different elements.

*Over the next hill is a Magic Portal that spits out 3 Hell Doberman.*

Euryale: That...looks like trouble.

*Thiera immediately tries to halt their movements & inflict critical damage with a Rue Rom, but one of the Hell Dobermans has already strayed too far away from the AOE, & dashes towards Sab.*

*He runs past a Blademaster sitting on the bridge.*

Bear: It won't do anything unless you talk to it.

Monudon:< Thanks for letting me know.>

*Monudon goes up and talks to the creature*

Sab uses a Juk Kruz.

Mortal finally logs in and sends Sab a message saying she was on.

*Euryale runs up to the Hell Doberman that is frozen in Sab's spell. Though the branches seem to bounce harmlessly off of the Hell Doberman, the cut takes off a good chunk of its health. Thiera points at the other Hell Doberman.*

Thiera: Rue Zot.

*Said Doberman is stabbed by ice spikes that emerge from the ground.*

*Monudon looks confused*

Monudon:< You'll die if you stop what? Moving?>

"Mortal is here," Sab said, "I told her where we were, she said she is on her way."

Mortal goes over to a chaos gate, giggling about the word pansy.

Bear: Hahaha. Then again, I never said that talking to it would get you anywhere either.

*Bear stands up.*

Bear: I just got a mail. I'm afraid I can't stick around to talk.

Thiera: What? Why?

Euryale: The position a new player is warped to on a given field is always the same. In other words, Mortal would enter the field where we did, somewhere past those hills behind us.

*The glyph under the Chaos Gate glows & the Gate itself gains 2 golden rings as the Chaos Gate Menu pops up.*

"Alright then, lets mosey," Sab said.

Mortal uses the tri pansy keyword thingies.

"Oh, hello there," Hector turned to Zalera. "You would be Zalera, I assume?"

Monudon:< True. Alright, thanks for the help again.>

*Monudon continues walking*

*Mortal is warped to a grass field. She can see Magic Portals a couple dozen feet away in each cardinal direction.*

*Suddenly, a wandering Hell Doberman appears.*

Zalera: No, I'm Johnny Appleseed.

Monudon:[ I heard there's a place to get Grunties here. I wonder which way it is.]

*Monudon looks around, trying to determine which way to go*

OOC: Oh yeah, I forgot about you.

*Dun Loireag consists of several mountain peaks with half-assed bridges connecting them. From the map, Monudon can see that it is set up very similarly to Mac Anu, except that the paths are more zig-zagging, & the circular clearing at the south end of the city has a large building that isn't one of the shops.*

*Monudon heads for the circular clearing*

"That's funny, I met a Stray Grunty named Johnny on the way here," Hector grinned broadly.
