The bolt flies off and buries itself halfway into a tree, missing the wolf entirely. The wolf eyes Namond and begins to make his way over, looking mighty pissed off at having a crossbow bolt fly over its head. It dashes towards Namond and bites his shoulder.

Namond takes 2 points of damage. Health at 25.

Jeanne responds to all these damn wolves by hefting her blade over her head and swinging it at the wolves to her left. The blade glides right through the first wolf, and imbeds itself in the second. As Jeanne pulls her sword free both wolves collapse to the ground dead.

The wolf at Verano's right tries to take a bite out of him, but misses entirely.

The wolf at Levin's left tries to take a bite out of him, and gets a good grip around his arm.

Levin takes 7 points of damage. Health at 34.

Levin's strike just barely misses. The wolf to Euryale's right runs and bites at her neck, but mistimes the jump and simply lands at her feet, leaving Euryale unharmed.

Rygar's bolt imbeds itself into the wolf's shoulder, causing it to squeal in pain.

The wolf to Verano's left seems to be distracted by a butterfly. It is obvious that this is the runt of the litter, and possibly retarded. The wolf to Iliad's right also tries to take a bite out of her, but she dodges the attack. The south most wolf rushes down the path until he is at Rygar's right. He then bites at him, but misses.

*Euryale looks down at the failwolf that tried to attack her. She feels a bit bad about killing animals, but she sucks it up & kicks it twice in the face.*

The first kick puts the wolf on the ground, its eyes rolling to the back of its head, and its limbs flailing a bit. It tries to get back up, but doesn't get very far as the next kick brains it and it falls to the ground in a dead heap.

The wolf that Marcus attacked takes this time to retaliate. It bites Marcus' ankle and tears at it before releasing.

Marcus takes 4 points of damage. Health at 40.

The wolf south east of Namond also tries to take a bite out of his leg, but misses.

The wolf Verano attacks is sliced to bits, however Cale's shot cocks off somewhere in the woods hitting a nest and killing two chicks. Cale will never know the innocent lives he has taken, and the happiness he has stole from what could have been a proud mother. When the sun rises the next day the bird choir will sing a bit softer.

The wolf to Rygar's south tries to take a bite out of him, but misses.

Iliad shoots the wolf to her right, blowing its brains out.

A swath of flames passes right in front of Namond and Rygar, barely missing them, and setting three wolves on fire. All of them fall to the floor, dead and flaming.

Jeanne moves between Iliad and Euryale so that she comes up behind the wolf attacking Verano and slices it right in half.

The wolf that bit Levin before now takes another bite out of him, and gets his teeth around his shin with great force.

Critical hit. Levin takes 6 damage. Levin's health is at 28.

Iliad let out a small sigh, "Well, that was unexpected." She looked around the group, seeing Jeanne wiping a shit ton of blood off her face after sheathing her sword on her back once again, "Is everyone alright?"

Jeanne looked over at her and nodded, "Yes." She looked over at Levin, "What about you Levin? Are you alright, I saw you get bit a few times."

E"I'm fine. It'd be nice if I could wash my hands, though."

*She looks at Senthose.*

E"I owe you an apology. I truly believed you would hide from the wolves while we did all of the work, or even shoot us in our backs with fire. I am sorry."

*Senthose closes his eyes & pinches the bridge of his nose.*

S"Why would I have followed you into the damn forest just to do either of those things?"

Marcus: "With a show like that, I don't care what he does. That was impressive."

*Marcus turns to Namond and resting his hand on his shoulder.*

Marcus: "You did well. You all right?"

*Rygar grunts at the scene, dwarf parties would bury their dead, ignore their wounds, and keep on with the mission. He moves through the party and continues towards the aqueduct.*
