Old Ones Return

Hitomi: "Okay."

Taiyo: "Can I play too?"

*Purely out of politeness, Thiera stops, turns, puts on a fake-looking smile, & waves. DemiDevimon has none of that nonsense, & keeps flying without her.*

Calamon<Yeah. I was thinking tag, or hide-and-seek. Unless you have something you want to play.>

Taiyo: "Tag sounds fun."

Kylie:<I'm game for anything.>

*Lunamon nods in agreement*

*Calamon jumps up & pokes Hitomi in the shoulder.*

Calamon<Tag, you're it!>

*He then unfurls his ears & flies away, laughing.*

Agumon<...He didn't explain how we'd know who was "It." ...What?>

*The last thing he says is in response to Euryale, who is giving him a disapproving glare for having taken to the sky, since he still has the Hyper Wings on.*

*Kylie and Lunamon take off in opposite directions*

Kylie:<Come get me!>

Taiyo had already run off. Salamon stares up at Hitomi, a confused look on her face until Hitomi pats her on the head.

Hitomi: "You're it."

Salamon: "What? I never said I was playing!"

By then Hitomi had taken off.

*Euryale takes one look at Salamon & does not feel like it can move fast enough on those stubby little legs that she can't simply move out of the way at the last second.*

*As Kylie runs, she spots Thiera again, still walking out of the park.*

*A dumb-looking kid who was either held back or has a thyroid problem, wearing a middle school football jacket--American football is, in fact, quite popular in Japan--approaches the now-isolated Lunamon, a Gotsumon by his side.*

Tamer<Looks like we got one!>

Gotsumon<Are you sure?>

Tamer<It's got no partner, does it?>

Salamon runs up to Renamon who's leaning against a tree, making no effort to move and touches her with a paw.

Salamon: "You're it."

Renamon: "I'm not playing."

Salamon: "What?!"

Taiyo comes out from behind the tree.

Taiyo: "Why not, Foxy? It'll be fun."

Renamon: "I don't play games."

Taiyo: "Okay... Sorry, Sallymon. I guess that means you're still it."

Grumbling, Salamon tags Taiyo who runs off after Euryale.

Lunamon:<I DO have a partner, she's over that way with the others.>

*Lunamon points back where tag the game is happening*

*Kylie glances in Thiera's direction, then turns her attention back to the game*

Tamer<Attack!>

*Gotsumon shoots rocks at Lunamon.*

*Euryale turns & books it. Though not a runner, per se, it only takes her a few seconds to outpace Taiyo by a couple dozen feet. This puts her much closer to Kylie.*

*Agumon lands in the tree that Renamon is leaning against.*

Taiyo slows down then stops, groaning.

Taiyo: "Where'd Hitomi go?"

Renamon looks up at the tree, having been disturbed by Agumon. Meanwhile, Hitomi had followed after Calamon.

*Lunamon dives out of the way*

<You're really trying to start something? I've just told you have a partner.>

*Lunamon steps back, keeping her eyes on the tamer and Gotsumon*

*Kylie laughs and runs back, then turns around and yells*

<Lunamon, this isn't hide and seek!>

*The Tamer just ignores him & swipes a card that increases Gotsumon's speed. Hitomi & Calamon stumble across the scene.*

Calamon<Is he playing too?>

Tamer<Get that one, too.>

*Gotsumon fires rocks at Calamon, then charges up to Lunamon & punches her.*

*Euryale looks around. Lunamon does not answer, & is nowhere in sight.*

<What? I'm allowed to land on the tree. I can't fly all day, you know.>

*Another Tamer, a young kid looking to be less than 10 with goggles & anime hair that hasn't been combed in ages, approaches Renamon & Agumon. He has a Wormmon by his side.*

Hitomi grabs Calamon and takes off back to the others, holding him to her chest.

Salamon: "How many more Tamers are there? And what's with the stupid goggles?"

Taiyo turns around as the game is apparently over.

Taiyo: "More of us?"

*Not wanting to attack someone's partner, Lunamon attempts to dodge this attack as well, then runs after Hitomi*

Kylie:<Lunamon? Lunamon!>

*Kylie now looks really worried, and runs in the direction Lunamon went*

*It was not successful, similarly, Hitomi is pelted with rocks, and falls over. Seeing them try to run, the Tamer frowns, & swipes another card. Gotsumon becomes surrounded in a gray barrier, explosively emerging as Monochromon, who breathes a stream of fire at them. In response, Calamon's head glows, & Lunamon undergoes Digivolution.*

"There have been a LOT of Tamers lately."

*The Wormmon attempts to throw a Sticky Net over the 2 Digimon.*

*Lunamon is engulfed in light purple light, and her outer layer of data is stripped off and replaced, leaving Lekismon*

<Lekismon!>

*Lekismon fires Moon Night Bomb at Monochromon to put him to sleep, then grabs Hitomi and Calumon and takes off back to the others*

<Are you two hurt?>

*Kylie continues to head in the direction she saw Lunamon run*

Hitomi: "I'm fine... What about you?"

She asks looking at Calamon.

Renamon and Salamon split up, running in opppsite directions. Renamon turns around and unleashes a Diamond Storm on Wormmon.

Calamon<I don't have a scratch, you got hit with all the rocks.>

*The Monochromon destroys the attack with another breath of fire & charges Lekismon as it attempts to flee, easily catching up with her, thanks to its increased speed.*

*Thick lines of silk cover that tree in a tight mesh. Because of her stubby legs, Salamon is entangled in the net. As is Agumon, since he did not take off fast enough. Renamon was fast enough that only her foot got caught. The child responds to the Diamond Storm by swiping a Digivolution card, & the shards bounce off of the resulting barrier, landing dangerously close to everyone in the area. Wormmon emerges as Stingmon & charges Renamon with a blade-hand.*

"Hey, kid! What the Hell do you think you're doing?!"

*The kid turns around.*

Kid<Playing. Fighting evil.>

*Kylie is still close enough that she has the option to help with this scene, or keep running. She does not yet see Lunamon, but there are some odd bursts of flame over a hill in the distance.*

<Hold on!>

*Lekismon continues running as fast as she can, still holding Hitomi and Calumon, and kicks at Monochronmon with Moon Night Kick*

*Kylie face falls at the sight of the flames*

[No....]

*Kylie turns around, caught between staying to help and going to find Lunamon. After pausing for a second, Kylie yells to the others*

<I'm pretty much useless without a partner, so I'm going to find Lunamon. I'll try and bring back Calumon and Salamon's partner too, as I think they went that way.>

*Kylie runs as fast as she can towards where she sees the flames*

Salamon squirms to try and free herself. Renamon uses a Kohenkyo to switch places with Stingmon.

Taiyo: "Squash it, Renamon! Digi-Modify!"

Taiyo swipes the AeroWing card which Renamon promptly attacks Stingmon with.

*Renamon is unable to pull her leg free, & so the Kohenko fails. Agumon starts biting the webs that hold him & burning them. Stingmon is hit by the Aero Wing & flies back, but makes sure to fire off its blades at Renamon as it goes. Euryale walks up to the kid.*

"You can't just go around attacking random Digimon!"

Kid<Why? You were doing it earlier.>

*The kick does not penetrate Monochromon's hard shell, who then retaliates by trying to bite Lekismon's leg. That's when Kylie arrives on the scene.*

*Lekismon jumps out of the way, then fires Tear Arrow at Monochronmon's face. Upon seeing the fight, Kylie takes out a card and scans it with her digivice*

Kylie:<Digi-Modify! Radiant Fate Activate!>

*After doing that, Kylie runs towards Lekismon*

Kylie:<Wait! Stop!>

Renamon shields herself with her arms. Taiyo swipes the Strwngth Plug-In W card in while Renamon and Salamon work to free themselves.
