Game-Changers & Grudge Matches

After a short wait, the door opened and revealed Astarte with her black handbag slung over her shoulder. If Roatha looked past her he might see some bedding messily laid out on the couch and the floor space next to it, but nobody else present.
"Hello," She gave a little smile and stepped forwards, bringing the door closed behind her. "How are you feeling?"

Hector and Eduj were now locked in the bathroom, as Sidon and shoved them into it when he heard someone knocking. They were now listening keenly for voices.

Dalia had already been up for a few hours, and was ready to go to her interview. She used the spare time she had to go for a walk and think about this job.

*Tirea paces back and forth*

Gabe had spent an hour or so working out, and had just stepped out of the shower when she noticed the note. She picked it up, and read it, then looked at her clock to check the time, "Crap, I'm late." She rushed back into her room and got dressed in a pair of baggy shorts, and a tank top. She threw on a pair of sneakers she had by the door, and rushed out. She came back a few minutes later and grabbed her phone, "Right, Tirea..." She dialed her teammates number and waited for her to pick up.

Noct stumbles into the well stocked kitchen genuinely shocked to find Ven in there. After a quick realization she half heartedly yawned out, "Good morning."

Mortal had made her way to the hospital after a shower and some breakfast.

"Like I was assaulted last night by an angry bloodbender. But, as you can see, I can still move. In fact, I would say that today is looking up."

When she sees her, the girl at the counter tells her that she can take a seat anywhere, unless she has a quick order that she wants her to hear.*

*Aroma shows her to Euryale's room where she can be found sitting up in bed, eyes closed, half-awake. Thiera stands over her, rubbing glowing water into her shoulders.*

Thiera<You know, in your line of work, you should really get regular muscle examinations.>

"Mm-hmm."

Thiera<Oh, hello, there. We should be ready to let her go around noon, if that's okay.>

Noct smiled, "Bacon and eggs would be nice. But you don't have to cook for me if you don't want to."

"That'll be fine," Mortal said, feeling a bit nervous all of a sudden, "Good morning, Euryale. Did you sleep well?" Mortal took the seat she took last night.

*Tirea picks up the phone*

{Gabe? I mean, hello there!}

*Monu continues his shower*

"Hi, Tirea," Gabe said, "You guessed right. I'm calling to let you know that Euryale was injured and I'm heading over to the hospital to meet her, so if you don't hear from me for a while that is where I'll be."

*Euryale's eyes snap open.*

"I slept fine, thank you. How about you?"

Noct leaned against the counter and asked, "So, did you sleep well?"

Mortal didn't want to say that she basically stayed up all night in anticipation, so she said, "Home felt empty without you, but I made due. So feeling any better?"

*Tirea doesn't say anything for a minute*

{What!?!?! What happened?!}

"I don't know," Gabe said, "I'm guessing it has to do with yesterday. It doesn't seem to serious, because she is supposed to get out today, but I still want to check up on her."

{Oh, wow. Could I come with you?}

"Of course," Gabe said, "Do you want me to meet you there, or get you at your place?"

{Could we meet halfway?}

"Even better," Gabe said, "I'll see you later then."

{Wait, what time are we meeting?}

"Now."

{Gotcha. I'll hurry then. See you in a few!}

"Right," Gabe hung up, and left the house heading for the hospital.

*Tirea grabs a blue sweater and pulls it over her head as she runs out the door*

<Bye Dad! Be back later!>

"Yes, I was very comfortable. Thank you for asking."

*Tirea spots Gabe as they're crossing the bridge about halfway to the hospital. On the road itself, traffic is backed up behind water service trucks in several spots. A horn honks up front & some guy shouts back that he's gonna become a spinebender if he hears that horn one more time. The horn honks again.*

*She heads back, pouring Eve a hot tea in a styrofoam cup, & hands it to her.*

"A lot, actually. But they tell me I still can't take the sling off."

Gabe sees it coming and turns it into a spinning hug as she pivots, sending Tirea's legs into the air. She puts her back down and smiled, "Good to see you, too. Come on, lets get out of here before traffic becomes a brawl."

"You're welcome," Noct said, "Let me know if there is anything else I can do to make you feel more comfortable."

"That wouldn't be good," Mortal said with a chuckle, "Euryale throws a mean punch. So, am I the first one to arrive?"

<Right, let's go!>

*Tirea grabs Gabe's hand, and starts moving in the direction of the hospital*

Astarte seemed content with that answer, "Well, that is good I suppose. I assume that we will walk?"
