Cabin in the Woods II

"It was pretty quick," Hector replied. "One moment we were running, then suddenly on our asses with stinging flesh wounds."
"I vomited blood outside," Eduj added.
"I almost did, too," Hector nodded.

Azuma: "Maybe it depends on if you make contact or how. My arm went inside it, what about anyone else?"

"I don't remember if it actually hit us or just took us out from a range, as it seems capable of doing."

T"Well...none of this is very helpful."

*They hear boards squeaking in the hall, as though someone is walking nearby.*

Azuma: "Probably just the house settling. Say, what happened to what's her name? The crabby one who seemed to have a premonition for monster attacks."

"She just walked off when we got to the pond," Hector said. "I don't think she followed us back."

T"I was hoping she'd made it back...I don't know how we're ever going to find her."

"I don't want to sound like an asshole, and I'm not just saying this because she maced me, but I don't like her chances," Hector said. "And we shouldn't have to go searching the forest because she chose to leave us. Her fate is in her own hands now."

Azuma chuckles a bit.

Azuma: "Oh man, that was pretty funny. And it's not like you didn't have it coming. Anywho, we're certainly not in any shape to even be in here let alone out there."

Hector scowled at Azuma, though the expression would have been invisible, "Yeah, hilarious."

T"Well, either way, she might have saved our lives. I'd hate to admit that there's nothing we can do for her, but...yeah."

Azuma: "Can't say she'd feel the same way about us."

"So, what is the plan for... whenever we decide to go out again?"

N"Damn it, the answer is the same as the 6 other times that question was asked tonight."

*More footsteps, this time coming into the living room.*

Azuma: "I imagine a lot of us have suffered from cranial tramua recently. Now who or what could this possibly be?"

Hector looked to the source, "Who's that?"

*The steps keep walking towards them without any pause or response. Thiera quickly flicks the lantern back on, to find nothing at all. She looks shaky.*

T"This place is creepy...."

"You don't say," Hector ran a hand through his hair. "I don't think anybody checked the basement. Anyone game?"

Azuma: "Nope. I did when we got here and I like to think it's the same. Only with the smell of rotting meat."

T"We have nothing else to do. Might as well split up into teams & check the cabin."

"I'm pretty sure we've checked everywhere but the basement, and maybe like one room," Hector replied.

Azuma: "You still have your flashlight, right? Mine went into the abyss and isn't likely to come back."

Mimiru: "Probably still in my bag assuming it's still in our room."

*Thiera sighs.*

T"And if there was something in the basement, then it may have moved since then."

*Picking up her lantern, she leads Nero & Roatha to the hallway. They look down both ends, but don't seem to see anything.*

Without any forethought, Sab leans in and kisses Aroma.

The two follow as they have the light and stumbling around in the dark to get to their room would suck.
