Episode Two: The Point of Absolute Zero

Azuma: "Beats waiting around. Difficult to lose one another given the tracks we'd leave and the abundance of a source of tracking one another."

Eve:<You can go on ahead then. I'd rather not leave anyone behind.>

*Roatha walks back onto the scene.*

R"Leave who behind?"

"Guess we're all ready then."

Azuma: "Not so much leave behind, just split up. But since we're all here, lead the way, Renamon."

Renamon begins to walk the way she had come from when everyone had first woken up.

*Roatha & Aroma, as well as their partners, set off. Euryale waits to see what Taiyo will do.*

Taiyo hesitates before stepping out of the booth, but does so trying to step lightly to not get a sandalful of snow. It doesn't work.

Hitomi, Azuma, and their partners follow along.

*Everyone follows along*

E"Are you SURE you don't want me to carry you?"

Taiyo: "Are we going very far?"

Renamon: "The end of the beach isn't too far. There snow is less deep once back into the forest."

Taiyo: "I guess it's not a problem."

E"It's not a problem for me to carry you. I'd love to help you any time."

R"Yeah, & someone can take over when she gets too tired."

*Eve stares ahead, while Terriermon plays with her hair*

As Renamon waits for Euryale and Taiyo, the others continue on their way, following the tracks she had made when she came about.

Hibiki and BlkAgumon follow silently behind bringing up the rear.

*And so they follow.*

*As do they*

It gets darker as they come to the forest, the trees growing close together, the branches forming a thick canopy which keeps the majority of the snow off the trail. Although what snow does fall is now mostly slush.

Taiyo: "This is kind of spooky."

Taiyo's hold on Euryale tightens, hopefully she's not choking her.

Around them theu can hear the sound of bramches snapping.

*Cameron and Biyomon look around*

Cameron:<Something else is here.>

R"Eh."

*Dorumon also keeps an eye out. Euryale tries to tough it out & take steady breaths.*

"Its like one of those haunted forests..."

The snapping becomes more rapid as a pair of orbs fly out of the trees and hover above them, icicles raining down on them.

*Dorumon shoots a cannonball thing out of its mouth at one. The others try to take cover, with Euryale shifting Taiyo around to a bridal style carry, but also probably giving her whiplash.*

*Lunamon uses tear shot on the other, while Biyomon uses Spiral Twister on the same one, while Terriermon uses Bunny Blast on the one Dorumon is attacking*

The orbs are destroyed, but the damage is done. Those who did not seek cover are covered in multiple shallow cuts. Three more orbs are shot out of the trees, the attack repeating.

Azuma, Hitomi, and their partners are crouched behind a tree, the trunk being pelted with icicles. Through a mess of tightly grouped branches in front of them a white [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] pokes its head out, teeth beared, growling.

It opens its mouth, ice building up on its teeth, so they appear longer. The ice breaks and the SnowAgumon roars sounding like a velociraptor when Patamon spits a Boom Bubble in its face.

*The humans run behind one of the trees*

Terriermon:<We need to find the source of these orbs!>

*He fires Bunny Blast in the direction the orbs came from*
