Episode Fourteen: Rain, After the Escape/Data Distortion

From the bones of the land, the yellow brick road glimmers as the rain reflects the emerging sunlight, the castle in the distance shining like a star, guiding them to the end.

It would be in their best interest to use this time for rest and reflection.

*Presumably, everyone regresses to their rookie form. Terriermon clings to Eve's shoulder, and Eve faces the emerging sun without staring directly at it*

Eve:<...We didn't find Roatha...>

*Kylie and Lunamon approach, but Terriermon waves them away*

*Euryale looks around.*

E"We'll just have to search more. If we can't find him here, he might be at that castle."

R<"What if--what if he's under one of these graves?!">

OOC: Or in Aroma's hair.

Taiyo takes Euryale's hand and gives it a squeeze.

There's nothing for them to say until leaving for the castle.

*I suppose they eventually head for the castle, Eve and Terriermon leading the way*

*Then they're off, Euryale squeezing back & assuring Taiyo that everything will be alright.*

Those goons best have partook in some of the rations they poached back in New Fallout as when they get closer to the castle, a pair of mandibles appear out of nowhere and rip a hole through the fabric of space in time, GranKuwagamon and GrandisKuwagamon emerging from the hole, the other side being a vast plane of nothing but mask and ghost.

*Sure, they ate some shit*

Cameron:<So...you guys here for a fight or what?>

OOC: If it'll get me through this faster.

*The Digimon take on defensive postures, but not too threatening, as they await an answer.*

While GrandisKuwagamon takes to the sky, GranKuwagamon gathers a large orb of darkness between its mandibles and raises it to strike those dumb bastards, GrandisKuwagamon circling around behind to strike.

*Presumably now that they've eaten, Euryale & War Growlmon can Biomerge again. So they do that & rocket towards GrandK, harassing it with bolts of lightning.*

G<"Fan out! We'll be harder targets & can surround them!">

*Rosemon follows orders. As she runs, she tries to ensnare GrandisK with vines from below.*

*Everyone biomerges and moves out of the direct line of fire. Raijimon flies towards GrandK, adding in their own lightning to Gallantmon's. Dianamon and Ornismon head towards GrandisK, Dianamon aiming an Arrow of Artemis at each of its eyes, and Ornismon flaps his wings to create a whirlwind to send GrandisK towards Rosemon's vines*

The three Biomerge and scatter, GranKuwagamon dropping the orb on whoever thought it would be a good idea to assault it head on.

Magnadramon and Sakuyamon flank GranKuwagamon who begins to rise into the air. GrandisKuwagamon drills through their attacks, SlashAngemon barreling into it with Heaven's Ripper.

*Ornismon claws at GrandisK as SlaahAngemon barrels into it, Dianamon slashing at its back with her scythe. Raijimon flies away from the ball while continuing to fire lightning at GranK*

*Wanting to protect those below, Gallantmon holds her ground, bracing herself behind her shield & firing a Final Elysium.*

*Rosemon continues trying to ensnare GrandisK.*

SlashAngemon uses their swords to block GrandisKuwagamon and try to keep it back as it tries to drill through them, tearing up the vines.

GranKuwagamon spreads its wings and rises from the ground, charging Gallantmon, mandibles open to crush them to open up a tear in space-time in them.

*Raijimon flies around and strikes GranisK in the back of its head with Justice Arm. Dianamon and Ornismon continue doing what they did before*

*At the last second, Gallantmon ducks under GrandK, using Spiral Saber to slash into its stomach. Rosemon tries to ensnare GrandisK with her whip & order it to stand down.*

This has the unfortunate side effect of dropping a bigass bug on them. GranKuwagamon wraps its legs around Gallantmon and rips a hole in space-time. Wings buzzing, it moves to lift Gallantmon up and take them to parts unknown.

GrandisKuwagamon spins, reeling Rosemon in to act as a shield from the incoming attacks, jabbing them with its claws.

*Dianamon fires an arrow to sever the vine so Rosemon can escape, then slashes at the back of its head. Ornismon fires his mouth laser if he can do it without hitting Rosemon. Raijimon fires lightning at GrandisK's wings to prevent it from flying off*

*Unsure what exactly she's supposed to do with everyone crowding around this thing, Rosemon stares sadly at her severed whip, probably a metaphor for a loss of womanhood. Hearing Gallantmon struggling, she flies off to help with that, trying to lasso GrandK with what's left of her whip & frankly hoping it can regrow, being a plant & all. As Gallantmon still has her shield, she fires a Final Elysium into the bug at point-blank range.*

Something like that will probably have an adverse effect on Gallantmon, like a dislocated shoulder or something, but GranKuwagamon is cut in half, one half falling forward, the other back.

GrandisKuwagamon whips around to block Dianamon's attack and counter, SlashAngemon backing off to not get in the crossfire from Ornismon's attack, Magnadramon and Sakuyamon adding their own ranged attacks into the mix to destroy it and thus grand them passage into the castle.

*Everyone lands and regresses back to person/rookie after blocking/dodging all the shit*

Terriermon:<So...what was that about?>

*Kylie and Lunamon head over to Rosemon*

Lunamon:<Sorry we cut your whip. We didn't want you to get used as a shield!>

*Rosemon screams & gets the fuck out of the way of the giant half of a bug falling towards her. She then puts a hand to her chest, hyperventilating. Gallantmon also flies down to meet her.*

G<"Sorry! Are you okay!">

*She slowly nods.*

What it means is there's probably to be more resistance in the castle.

Because I ain't waiting for them to all file in, I'm gonna fast forward to them being inside the castle.

The entrance way is a narrow path overlooking a black pit, stalagmites rising from it with various Digimon they have never seen before sharing a similar color pattern of white, gold, and purple encased in crystal at the top. From the ceiling is a similar sight, although the stalagtites are entirely crystal with more Digimon that are primarily dark colors sealed away inside.

The rest of the room and the structure in general is reminiscent of the M.C Escher print, "Relativity."
