Episode Fourteen: Rain, After the Escape/Data Distortion

Not sure what all this abyss talk is unless everyone is finally accepting that's the final resting place for all life. Devitamamon holds on to Gallantmon's shield for dear life while it tries to hurl itself into the mess of stairs below.

The other Devitamamon hangs on to Ornismon, ripping feathers from their wings. It screeches when Magnadramon's Hermit Fog eats away at its shell, exposing a little bit of the blackness inside.

G<"Screw it, Final Elysium!">

*Meanwhile, Rosemon Burst jumps on the other one, trying to destroy it with her Charity attack.*

*Fires some arrows at the one attached to Gallantmon, while Raijimom adds in some lightning. Ornismon starts banging Digitamamon on the ground if Rosemon's attack doesn't work*

The first Devitamamon is knocked into the mess of stairs below and tumbles on down and down and down, possibly forever

Magnadramon flies around to spit in the remaining Devitamamon's face, trying to not get Ornismon in the process. Sakuyamon calls up fox spirits, directing them to the hole in Devitamamon's back.

*Tipheret crystals. Lightning blast.*

Dianamon:<Hold it still!>

*Ornismon obeys, and Dianamon and Raijimon add in arrows and lightning respectively*

The fox spirits dig in through the hole in its back, raw data exiting through it and the openings the monster made itself, leaving behind only an empty shell that is damn hard to break.

*Now the nothing's holding it to Ornismon, he kicks it down the stairs*

R<"Where do these eggs keep coming from?">

The empty shell rolls and bounces, possibly forever. There was no point to that gesture.

Sakuyamon: "Those weird portals?"

Dianamon:<But why send them? They aren't really much of a threat to all of us.>

Ornismon:<Maybe Milleniummon's trying to slow us down.>

Raijimon:<Whatever the case, there is nothing to do but keep moving.>

*They start heading in the same direction as before*

R<"But...where do the portals lead...?">

*Gallantmon places a hand on Rosemon Gainax Mode's back & leads her along after the others.*

The halls and stairs become more warped and distorted as they move, breaking apart in places, the path they followed breaking apart revealing more stairs below which also break apart and so forth likely going down to the very bottom where they came from.

Ahead is a door, likely the throne room where their semi-final obstacle emerges from a portal, more Devitamamon a SkullMammothmon that opens up with firing vertebrae at them.

*Gallantmon protects with her shield as Rosemon Gainax fires Tipheret crystals at it from all sides.*

*Ornismon uses Tempest to blow back the vertebrae, while Dianamon and Raijimon fly around to dodge. They then add in arrows and lightning to Rosemon's attack*

The disrupted vertebrae punch holes in the floors and walls they hit, SkullMammothmon shielding its DigiCore with its body from incoming attacks and shrapnel.

It trumpets and charges all those gits with very few places to go, Magnadramon and SlashAngemon falling back to the broken section of hallway while Sakuyamon attempts a Talisman Sphere.

*Raijimon and Dianamon fall back as well, then continue attacking the thing's digicore. Ornismon moves back if he can, but as that is likely impossible, he uses his big mouth laser on the digicore was well*

*Rosemon G ensnares the elephant with vines, trying to hold it back & expose its Digicore. If Gallantmon can get a clean shot, she uses Final Elysium. If not, she stands in a defensive posture with her lance out.*

Having an easier time at stopping while in motion than Machinedramon, SkullMammothmon comes to a halt and then tries to drag Rosemon Burst Mode across the floor, shaking about attempting to break free as well as smash her into the fragile walls.

*Dianamon flies up in front of SkullMammothmon's face, then uses Goodnight Moon on the SkullMammothmon to put it to sleep. Raijimon fires more lightning at the creature's digicore, while Ornismon attempts to help stop it with one of his claws*

*Rosemon adds her own sleep-inducing attack, in the hopes that they stack or something, while cutting the vines to make sure she isn't dragged around any more. Gallantmon comes to her defense as she is kneeling, trying to force its limbs aside with shield bashes & stab the Digi-Core with an electrified lance.*

Do the undead sleep? That is a question I am certain no one has ever asked or cared to consider if they did.

SkullMammothmon shakes its head, attempting to keep its DigiCore safe as well as gore any chump up in its grill. Sakuyamon not able to weave around those in the way, conjures up fox spirits that can, slinking between the monster's rib cage which does not make it any happier and more likely to keep trying to gore those in its shit.

*Dianamon flies back to a safe distance, then uses Cresent Harken on SkullMammothmon to make it see itself as an enemy. Ornismon grabs it's tusks with one claw, and Raijimon uses Electro Ball on the digicore*

*I have no idea what to do with this thing, since it shrugs off every attack, so I guess Gallantmon keeps doing what she's doing while Rosemon tries to wind her vines between its ribs to stab the Digi-Core.*

The core eventually cracks and disintegrates leaving behind only bones. The door to their final destination still lies ahead, the promised time drawing near.
