Episode Fourteen: Rain, After the Escape/Data Distortion

*Gallantmon looks at Raijimon & then back to Shademon.*

G<"Would you know how to find someone who may have been captured by Millenniumon?">

Shademon: "I have not seen the world above. What I know of it is based on how it influences this world whether it be the Priest's hunt for the Light and its artifacts or if it's the monster you speak of finding the Gate. I do not know if it takes prisoners or not, but I do know its goals do not benefit this world or any other."

G<"Wait, what gate? What goals?">

A<"You could come with us, if you wanted.">

Raijimon:<Is there anyway we come confirm whether or not someone's...dead?>

Shademon: "I could not survive in a world of light after spending so long in the darkness.

Humans operate differently than Digimon and the inhabitants of this world. The latter two lifeforms pass on in a similar manner, but I do not know about humans."

G<"...You just totally ignored my questions....">

A<"I am very sorry to hear about that. What about a Digimon, how would we find out if he died and, if he did, what happened to him?">

Raijimon:<His partner was-is a Dorumon.>

SlashAngemon: "If the data wasn't absorbed, it goes to Anubimon's pyramid where it passes judgment."

Shademon: "Unless condemned to this world, they will be reborn."

G<"Is Anubimon's pyramid somewhere nearby? Alternately, could we find Dorumon if he were here?">

Raijimon:<...Would Anubimon tell us what they knew if we found them?>

Shademon: "The pyramid is in the world above. Those condemned here seldomly regain their original form, becoming the blasphemous beings beyond. Those that do regain their form are merely smoke and void."

Raijimon:<Then that's where we'll go. Can you tell us where to look?>

Shademon: "I cannot."

SlashAngemon: "The Digital World changed with the appearance of each Dark Master. There's no guarantee it's where it was before."

Ornismon:<So we would have to search the entire digital world? Maybe...maybe we should beat Millieniumon first...>

SlashAngemon: "None of the data set to be reborn will go to the Village of Beginnings until that is done."

G<"We have to find him first.">

Ornismon:<How?>

SlashAngemon: "By searching the castle."

Ornismon:<I think we were referring to different people there. Anyway, let's go search the castle and beat Milleniummon!>

Shademon's eyes close although it's hard to tell if it's still present or not. Meanwhile, the yellow eyes of the Failures of Infinity are still visible in the distance, their alien chanting continuing. It would be best to go back.

G<"...Is he still here? I mean, he didn't say, 'goodbye,' or anything.">

Raijimon:<...I believe that is our signal to depart. We have spent long enough here as it is.>

Presumably they go back the way they came for a long flight through The Long Dark which inevitably leads them back to the front hall of the castle and its many staircases. The whole place seems brighter, but that could be attributed to having spent an extended period of time in a place of eternal darkness.

*Rosemon waves goodbye as they depart.*

G<"Okay, so now where?">

*Dianamon waves too*

Dianamon:<We should start trying staircases.>

*She heads up the nearest staircase*
