Episode Fourteen: Rain, After the Escape/Data Distortion

As there's no way to convince them there's nothing here forcing me to make shit up as I go, they wait for Gallantmon to lead the way, Sakuyamon standing beside them.

OOC: Should've had a back-up plan, or alternately not said things that indicate the exact opposite of there being nothing here.

G<We're already down here, it makes more sense to investigate now. We'll just ask the creepy voice where it is.>

It won't tell them anything, so presumably they set off into The Long Dark not against their better judgment.

As described, it is long and dark, with no light in sight or even what could be in front of them. Progressing through if they can call it progress, the smell of sea water becomes faintly noticeable and more apparent as they go although the darkness doesn't permit them to see if an ocean is near or not.

*Everyone follows along, I guess*

Raijimon:<The dark ocean...>

SlashAngemon: "An ocean within the World of Darkness."

It eventually becomes apparent that they're in a forest, twigs snapping underfoot, dried leaves rustling and crunching and the sort. More rustling can be heard around them while multiple sets of glowing yellow eyes watch them from all around.

G<"Nothing down here, huh?">

R<"Umm--hello, there.">

*Rosemon waves at the creepy eyes.*

*Ornismon either flies above the forest or a whole lot of trees are about to be crushed*

Dianamon:<You three who were here before, is this what it was like last time?>

Raijimon:<...Not exactly.>

It would be in Ornismon's best interest to cause some deforestation as the alternative is to experience forceful degeneration should they or anyone else proceed beyond the forest. Which they likely will.

SlashAngemon: "There was a forest once. And a Digimon, it's gone. Those aren't Digimon."

The things in the woods continue to move about, speaking in gargled whispers in a language unfamiliar to any of them.

G<"What exactly is that supposed to mean?">

*Gettin' the creeps, Rosemon shivers.*

*Then Ornismon lands and starts hopping around like birds do*

Dianamon:<If they aren't digimon and they aren't human, what are they?>

SlashAngemon: "Shademon called them 'Failure of Infinity.' They're what happens if a Digimon's data is sent here and doesn't return to how it was."

The things move about in the trees, maintaining enough distance to be out of striking range, but close enough for their alien chatter to clear.

R"Who is Shademon?"

*Gallantmon once again makes a light & shines it around to see what's up.*

Raijimon:<...A digimon who acted us here before. We...we assumed he took a different form depending on the person.>

Much like in the previous area, it doesn't do much good, but actually show the trees that are directly in front of them that they're standing around in.

The things in the dark continue their shambling and chattering one word becoming legible. Dagomon.

G<"Okay, so we're in some kind of forest. What's a Dagomon?">

*She stabs a tree.*

Raijimon:<...The digimon who brought us here. We destroyed it.>

The tree doesn't howl in pain or anything because it's a tree. Raijinmon is wrong in the sense that it was Dagomon that brought Eve to the Dark Ocean, but it was Dagomon who they did "defeat".

SlashAngemon: "The so-called god of this realm. We defeated it, but that doesn't mean it's gone if anyone is hearing voices."

G<"So what you're telling me is that what you said earlier was completely wrong. Where might we find this 'Dagomon' to finish it off?">

OOC: I forgot, does Eve know it wasn't Dagomon? I know it was Levimon, but I'm not sure she knows.

Raijimon:<We're not sure. This wasn't what it was like last time.>

OOC: She does not. Kylie was the only one told what Dark Crest it was she was marked with.

SlashAngemon: "You don't go to Dagomon. Dagomon comes to you. And if it was in a position to fight, we'd be on the beach."

Ornismon:<So, if it can't fight, what are we supposed to do? Wait around forever?>
