Episode Fourteen: Rain, After the Escape/Data Distortion

Eve:<I've seen these before. In Piedmon's maze.>

R<"So did we, but we just assumed it was a reference to IceDevimon.">

Azuma looks up and around at the stairs and pathways that should not be where they are.

Azuma: "How do we proceed?"

Lunamon:<I vote stairs!>

E"I would guess that Millenniummon is in the basement. The stairs do seem to generally trend in the same direction. We might find Roatha down there, too."

Assuming there is a basement and it's not just a hole leading to parts unknown, but there is only one way to find out.

They Biomerge and take flight, diving into the deepest depths of the abyss.

*They follow, Gallantmon looking to see how close Rosemon & Sakuyamon are to her.*

*Everyone biomerge as well, Ornismon in the rear because he takes up the most space*

The stalagmites make travelling for someone like Ornismon difficult. Sakuyamon attempts to stay close to Gallantmon, I don't know about Rosemon.

As they delve deeper into the darkness, it becomes harder and harder to see anyone in front of them or even the stalagmites that may be beside anyone. It may become apparent there is nothing at the bottom if there even is a bottom.

*The cave probably has a lot less stalagmites after Ornismon flies through. Dianamon remains close to him, while Raijimon flies near the front*

*Gallantmon was pretty close to Rosemon, so they're apparently all together.*

R<"We should try a light.">

G<"Maybe, with a bit of tweaking, I could....">

*Gallantmon points her lance into the abyss & attempts to make a sphere of bright-ass lightning on the tip.*

They can at least see a little ways ahead, but they still can't see the bottom if there even is one.

As they descend, the air seems to get heavier and quite oppressive. They may not even be in the Digital World anymore.

SlashAngemon: "We should go back."

Dianamon:<We can try the other paths, then come back if we can't find anything.>

G<"We can't let fear stop us!">

At the bottom there is only darkness. There may be something further or maybe there's nothing. There is only the oppressing atmosphere and a creeping sensation of being watched, but not by Millenniummon or anything of the sort, but something possibly worse.

They're not in Kansas anymore.

Ornismon:<Anyone else...>

*He is cut off by Dianamon*

Dianamon:<Feel like we're being watched? I do. I really think we should try turning back before we get trapped in here...>

G<"Nonsense, if I were Millenniummon, that's exactly what I'd want us all to think.">

Sakuyamon: "There's nothing here."

SlashAngemon: "Nothing worth seeing. This isn't the Digital World."

Ornismon:<...Wait, if we're not in the digital world, where are we?>

G<"And how would you know that, much less what's here or not?">

R<"And why would we all inexplicably feel a presence if there's nothing here?">

SlashAngemon: "The World of Darkness."

Sakuyamon has no experience with that shit, so they're going by what they see and Rosemon's being a bitch.

Grainy images of their broken bodies quickly flash in a blink and you'll miss it way in their minds like whoever or whatever is projecting the images is weak and distant, but undeterred in its everlasting hatred for the light and those associated with it.

Ornismon:<Wait, there are other worlds beside the human world and the digital world? And you knew this? Doesn't that sound like something that would be important for us to know?>

G<"Yeah, what is this 'world of darkness'? IS there something down here that we should be concerned about?">

*Rosemon scoots closer to Gallantmon, on the lookout.*

OOC: Nobody questions Eve despite her having been there.

SlashAngemon: "It's separate yet connected to the Digital World. Where data of Digimon not fortunate enough to be sent back to the Village of Something or Other go. It's the Digital World's trash bin. There's nothing here but some would-be God that can't accept its been beat."
